I finished Friday off with a Guardians/Team Conference and was heading home an hour later than I had planned. Called
dante_di_pietro and found out we were to meet Celric and Briana at their house and all drive down to Raleigh together (contrary to what we had originally decided). Headed to their house after spending 30 minutes packing at home. Spent a while waiting for them to pack and
dominyk to get there. Then we were all on the road with vegan dave by 7pm. We arrived at FMiL's and FFiL's house around 10:30pm ish.
I was exhausted and cranky, and was apparently suffering from an anxiety attack. Did you know that if you go to sleep with an anxiety attack you wake up with it still there? I didn't.
We got dressed and headed to the site, the weather was cold enough to make fighting nice and watching too chilly. I hung out with kel,
psychoharlequin, and various others and collected many hugs and vented much spleen about work. I tried not to talk about it, but apparently I spend so much time thinking about it that I am out of other things to talk about. Even at a re-enactment event.
I am very thankful that marion the red offered me the use of her laptop to enter my grades. Once I realized that I could choose to do my work, I was able to say "No" to it without guilt.
Well, not much.
*huge sighs*
We went to dinner at
Pirate's Landing. It was pretty good. We had 20 people in the party, but the servers were able to cope pretty well. The outside looked very spiffy.
Headed back to the crash site way too late. We didn't get back until almost 1 am.
dante_di_pietro was in a lot of pain, and I was pretty much suffering from "My feet and legs hate me" syndrome. As soon as I was down, I was out.
We headed back this morning after some pretty standard talk with the future in laws...
dante_di_pietro and his Dad discussed his soon to be bought new car. I can't wait to help him test drive them. *hint, hint*
So, I'm making a quiz and review sheet for my students. Then I'm going to read, and then I might get some more grading done.
Overall, I give the weekend a 3 out of 5.
