Merry Christmas Everyone.
I haven't updated in ages, so I guess, on this festive holiday, I'll sit here and rant about things.
For those who don't know still. Staph and Strep infection sucks (especially in the form of absesses), and so do hospitals. After getting out of the hospital, all that really occured was Thanksgiving and work. Work was a bit tough. Still working the overnight shifts (11pm-7am) which is killer for social life. So, rather than hanging out with everyone everyday... I have been buying stuff I've always wanted. I finally bought myself a new TV. I've become addicted to buying DVDs. My DVD collection had grown by at least 100 within the past month. Which is not good for the pocketbook whatsoever.
Which brings me up to the current holiday season...
Christmas Eve was wonderful... Too much awesome-ness to speak of. However I'll list it all.
- I spent time with my kids.
- I spent time with my family.
- Witnessed the family's biannual political debate
- I got a Quad G5!!
- I got some super cool jackets
- I spent more time with my kids.
- I got a replacement snare for my V-Drumset.
- And there's always the large amount of Best Buy gift cards.
But yeah, today's Christmas, and all is quiet, everywhere. Not a car in the streets nearby. Not a dog barking. It's so peaceful. This is why I love Christmas... My family doesn't exactly celebrate Christmas Day. So it becomes a day of rest. Which is unlike any other "vactation" day. Mmmmm. And there's nothing like driving around 2am in the morning on Christmas day, listening to Bing Crosby's "I'll be home for Christmas [...If Only In My Dreams]"
I want to thank you all once more... Well, some of you. Those know who they are. Thank you for being around... Thank you for making me feel worth a damn. Thank you. Without you all, I'd be nothing.
So, Merry Christmas once more, and may all your tidings bring comfort and joy.
