Items of note:
1. The other day, I interviewed Josh Caterer (lead singer of Smoking Popes). It was pretty much the highlight of my life. I can die happy now.
2. Tonight, I watched Last Supper, a documentary about last meals before lethal injection. Here are things I learned:
a. In Burma in the 1800s, a king sentenced a family to death. Everyone was immediately killed, except for the daughter, from whom they sliced pieces of flesh, fried them in curry, and then forced her to eat.
b. There was a case in Texas where, a week prior to death, a death row inmate hoarded pills. The day before his injection, he took all of the pills in a suicide attempt. His body was HeliVac-ed to Galveston, where he was pronounced D.O.A. They then pumped his stomach and electro-shocked his body until he was revived. The next day, they flew him back to the prison and killed him by injection.
c. Statistics show that death row inmates who are truly innocent refuse the last supper.
3. I finally found and purchased The Perfect Weekender bag. It's green suede.
4. I super want
these ugly mitten boots. Someone please buy them for me.
