I haven't seen you since this morning.
2005 was The Best Year Ever.
Here's why:
+ I met Eric.
+ I completely eradicated He Who Shall Not Be Named from my life.
+ I got into (and got straight A's) at Wash U.
+ I got a totally dope staff job with a New Times paper and started freelancing.
+ I temporarily got out of New York, and even though it meant leaving Eric, it also meant independence-seizing and anxiety medicine off-ramping.
+ Made peace.
Big Plans for 2006:
+ Maintain the optimism in my LDR, and face-forward to living together in 11 months.
+ Overcome my NYC disillusion so I can prep for next December's said reentry.
+ Keep with the straight A's for 3 more semesters.
+ ...then finally graduate!
+ Start freelancing for other alt-weeklies and feminist mags.
+ Maintain the peace.
And a resolution... just to, y'know, kip it rill:
+ Start using glycerin soap.
Yesterday was Eric and I's e-mailiversary. Monday is our anniversary.
I need new and improved carry-on luggage, so I suppose that will be my resolution for this week. Me so happy.
