A Peripatetic Future?
During a lovely conversation last night, a friend asked if I saw a time when I might settle down. I thought I'd share here what I said then.
My event horizon is generally about five years, and I don't see myself settling down, or even slowing down much, in that time. Beyond that, I'm not really sure: I'm 37 and I can see 45 as being a potential milestone. I will have been a professional musician, full-time, for 20 years at that point and my ambitions might have changed.
Then again, maybe not. I certainly have the next few years' challenges mapped out, and it's quite possible that my path will continue meandering from there. Either way, it's an adventure!
