Cats are capable of some interesting emotions, or seem to be. I got some Canadian Maple ham at the store today, and I was making a sandwich. Well, usually, I buy turkey. And my cat LOVES that. So I suppose she assumed she'd like this as well. And she sniffed it, and looked at me as if to say, "This isn't the same stuff, this isn't as good." But then she kept sniffing, and gradually started eating it. And even then, she still left bits. But it seemed like she felt like it would be ungrateful of her not to eat this and that I wouldn't give her turkey the next time. Cats are very complex sometimes.
Amy, reminds me of that book you were reading where the gorilla trainer got his gorilla to eat by using guilt tactics he learned growing up as a child.
