its 9 on a saturday night.. do you know what your college freshman is doing?
I went to two parties last night... drank some bad beer and some highly watered down attempt at jungle juice (which mind you was still far superior to the beer). They were enjoyable, if more for the company than anything else about them. SAE was having a white party, in honor of labor day of course... which meant that girls like me looked cute but normal (aka a white tank top and a kneelength skirt or pants of some kind) and other girls managed to look four times as skanky... i saw a skirt that is shorter than I've even seen at nt.. topped off with a white garter and some serious heels. Now the question you ask yourself is "what kind of fraternity has poles in their basement?" We aren't talking like support poles. these were strip club poles.
and I'm not hardcore enough for strip club poles... or at least I wasn't nearly drunk enough, perhaps both.
But my ultimate experience last night was going to Noyes (a community center/union on west campus) and going into this thing called "steppin' up". I was probably one of maybe 6 white people in the whole building. But it was awesome none the less. I stood out extra because not only was I the minority, but i was also wearing all white... oh man. but yet I didn't stick out at all and no one cared. So we hung out there for a little while, allowing me to sing "this shit is bananas B A N A N A S" several times and seeing some intense stepping by the sorority who sponsored it.
On Monday I have club volleyball tryouts, hopefully I'll make the team. Then Tuesday I have a "date" (meaning nothing of the sort) with Sam Bendix to see Animation Show 2005. And obviously school work.
off I go.. too sick to go out tonight, but I'm doing a movie marathon in the dorm so that should be fun.
