Status report: the office is packed; the shipping container is packed; the car is going to be sold tomorrow. I am giving up the keys to my office once I finish typing this.

We're having a three-day vacation in Iceland on the way home, so I'll see you all on the other side.

I'm so glad you're all packed and ready to go, because I know how hectic the process can be, especially with little ones in the picture. Have a great time in Iceland, and a safe flight home.

I could not have done it without my parents, who basically babysat for me while I packed and took care of bureaucratic things. Unpacking is going to be a much bigger challenge!

It was great! (Am I wrong, or do your formal academic interests lie in some vague Iceland-encompassing direction?)

Good! (They do a bit--my training was officially Middle and Old English, but I spent some time on the texts and languages of several neighboring cultures. There's a local ON reading group that I used to be able to attend monthly; that's probably what I've mentioned. It's taken us years to wade through Heimskringla....)
