If it were me I would mostly be tempted to do this, since I can't get emotional about mere furniture. But then there are the books. I could cull the books, but I couldn't bear to shed them all, so the big, bulky, heavy problem would still be there. And I don't even have that many that are job related.

My working library is transient by comparison; one of the hazards/advantages of working in IT. If it's more than 5 years old, the version of the software is out of date. If it's more than 10 years old, I'm probably working on an entirely different operating system and application by now.
