Me too! When he said that that other officer accusing her was what was wrong I just went *clunk* for the first time for them. She probably is dead and he will need Heather after he has gotten over his enormous guilt.
Of course, when he finds out that the sergeant was right, he may feel differently about how he responded there! But they will need each other when they both find out how corrupt the Cheyenne government is.
I am unsure of what to think of Hawkins' mysterious informant -- it all feels like it's being laid on a bit thick, somehow.
Good point. I am assuming the informant is someone we already know, who is disguising their voice. We already know them because we're halfway through this truncated season and they can't keep introducing new opponents.
I do agree there's some interesting interpersonal dynamics in the Beck-and-Heather scenes, but then Sprague Grayden seems to be very good at chemistry with her colleagues. It'll be interesting if they take that anywhere (in the three episode we have left!).
At least now we know why they said Mimi and Stanley were going to have some "twists and turns"...
I hope that the informant is someone we know -- although it's not clear to me who that might be at this point.

I suspect it's something that they might have worked through in a full season, but will be left to the imagination (and to fanfic?) in what they got -- but they do have excellent chemistry. I think Heather's is actually better with Beck than it was with Jake.

But he will know it was for a noble cause and forgive her. I have a whole scenario worked out so it must happen. Yes.
