Going with yesterday's gushing about Murderbot:
1. Murderbot Becomes Old Guard Immortal, by
FlipSpring
5 parts atm, but not a WIP, at 20349 words right now. Part 1 "Unmade" comes with a mature rating, not for sex, obviously, but for somewhat disturbing body horror.
Summary: Yes. ART said, patiently. The patience felt a little condescending, but to be fair to ART I had barely been managing to output coherent strings until about thirty-three minutes ago, at which point the coherent strings had started coming a little easier. Approximately 33% of the organic parts of your brain had been destroyed. I have some of the remains stored in the lounge fridge.
I mulled that over for a moment. How the fuck am I alive?
I don’t know. But according to the med scanner your brain has grown back.
Now, I may not know much in my current compromised state, but I’m pretty sure brains don’t do that.
Why I rec this: So the title is the fic, basically, it's a Murderbot | The Old Guard crossover. But believe me: you are not prepared for what you are getting yourself into. I was convinced that the last, like THE LAST thing I need is Murderbot going human and/or immortal, but this fic makes it work in ways that are just so incredibly good. This fic feels like canon, both to The Murderbot Diaries and The Old Guard movie. The author is very careful to not "normalize" the things that make Murderbot so good: it's genderless self, its distaste for humanity in general and its fierce loyalty to special humans. Its affinity to other artifical life-forms. Its snark and its friendship to ART, which is literally for the ages. The body horror of part 1 is so in-canon that I don't think the premise of the fic would have worked without it. You need to be registered at AO3 to read this fic, but I am guessing most of you are. ;) So check it out! You want to get to know Wreckage in all its augmented human beauty.

Summary: The knight finds his enemy dead on the battlefield. He doesn't want the man to wake up alone.
Why I rec this: It's by Alby, it's gorgeous. If the Middle-Ages and Stucky, then this Steve and this Bucky. There's a whole novel in this art. Also, this is my Star Spangled Secret Santa gift, and I am just floored that something so beautiful was created for me.
3. Stillness, by

Summary: Murderbot is on a boring contract, when something unexpected makes contact with it.
Why I rec this: Another Murderbot fic, this time pre-canon. It's a wonderful glimpse into Murderbot's life shortly after it hacked its governor module.
