Snitch-Seeker Important facts for fanfic writers:
Neville is Albus' godfather. Awwww! :)
Albus' favourite player is Brazilian Chaser Gonçalo Flores.
Charlie Weasley is gay still unmarried.
Angelina is taking care of her sick father.
Viktor Krum is still playing professional Quidditch at age 38.
• VIP box one contains: Chairman of the ICWQC, Mentor Metaxas, and the President of the Argentinian Council of Magic, Valentina Vázquez.
• VIP box two contains: Harry Potter with his three children (James, Albus, Lily); Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger with their two children (Rose, with red hair like her father; Hugo, with bushy hair like his mother - both are wearing green to support Brazil); Neville Longbottom and wife Hannah; Bill and Fleur Weasley with their children (Victoire, Dominique, Louis); George, Charlie and Percy Weasley; Luna Lovegood with husband Rolf Scamander.
• The Potter family all supported Bulgaria and wore red, except for Albus who wore green for Brazil, as Chaser Gonçalo Flores was a favourite of his.
• Ginny Potter is separated from her family in the VIP box as she was reporting on the game from the journalists' section with Rita Skeeter.
• Bulgaria mascots, the Veela, caused many male journalists to lose composure, as well as Ron Weasley, who had to be nudged by wife Hermione to gain his senses.
• Bill finally sat in between Teddy Lupin and daughter Victoire, who are dating (and went on to still be dating three years later in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows epilogue) to keep them apart during the Quidditch World Cup, which didn't last very long (the game, or keeping the two teens apart).
• Rita Skeeter: "Harry Potter is scratching his ear."
• Albus Potter nearly fell off his VIP box at the game when his favourite player, Brazilian Chaser Gonçalo Flores, scored the first points of the game, but was saved by Uncle Ron. His brother James laughed at the ordeal, while Harry merely passed Albus a snack provided by their friend, Luna.
• Hermione appears to be bored by the game, while Harry's cheering on every Bulgarian Beater successful hit, and Ron is annoyed at Bulgaria's good attempts.
• Head of the Department of Magical Transportation Percy Weasley, at not even 38 years of age, is already greying and balding, having aged a great deal since the Battle of Hogwarts years ago. Those who know Percy say of him that he's "not that bad once you get to know him."
• Charlie Weasley, still unmarried, ignored the game as well, and ended up chatting with Rolf Scamander.
• At Rolf's wedding to Luna, her wedding outfit was adorned with rainbows, spangles and a tiara of silver unicorn horns, and voted ‘Most Hideous Outfit of the Year’ by readers of Rita Skeeter's column.
• George Weasley's wife, Angelina, went to take care of her sick father, and currently wasn't staying with her husband or their children, Fred and Roxanne.
• Ron apparently gave Hermione a big kiss on the cheek exactly when Viktor Krum was hit over the head by Brazil Beater's Santos hat (but he was OK to go).
• Neville is Albus's godfather (Ron and Hermione were noted as being James' godparents in one of the J.K. Rowling documentaries a few years back).
• As Seekers Krum and Silva went for the Snitch towards the end of the final, Harry was seen shouting, while Ron was swearing (not much changed there).
• Teddy accidentally punched Victoire on the nose while cheering the Seekers on, but they were fine, as moments later they were seen snuggling up together.
• Viktor Krum, after 20 years on and off as a professional Quidditch player for Bulgaria, has finally won the World Cup at the age of 38, the oldest player in the competition.
• The final score: BULGARIA 170 - BRAZIL 60
• Harry's emotional at the Bulgarian win, Ron's grinning, Albus is clapping, and the commentary ends with Ginny stating that Rita was 'taken ill' by what people may say was a 'jinx to the solar plexus'.
• Though apparently, next week, the National Gobstones League is coming to Birmingham, UK... if anyone cares?
