Thank you for the rec! I really enjoyed the comic - very beautiful and melancholy. The artist is very talented; the words really complemented the art.

It didn't feel HP in the slightest, heh, but that wasn't a bad thing - it was a complete story in its own right, and you wouldn't need to know anything about HP to enjoy it just as much.

And yes, very AU-ish, to the point where it really is a fairy tale on its own right. ♥ A lot of Marauder fic has that kind of insular quality, though. We know so little about that time that I can totally enjoy this and still think of it as fanart. I loved the hints to James' bad eyesight, and to his interaction with Lily. ;)
