Jimmy Porter Park
Yesterday I went out to Jimmy Porter Park with a friend. It's not far at all from where I live and has quite a bit of wildlife, considering how close it is to a busy street and the library.
There is a paved trail around the pond and through some other areas of the park, which makes for a great place for families to come out and children to ride bikes, trikes, and other wheeled instruments. However, for the best experience, I recommend getting off the trail just a little bit.
In many cases I was able to get just a few feet, if not inches away from several critters, including baby ducks, a box turtle, bees, dragonflies, and rabbits. Despite it's development and popularity, it's a lovely park.
