hooray for weird foods
I'm in my hotel room in NYC and watching Larry King interview George Bush on CNN and I have to say I really like the man (GWB) in this light. He seems so real now. "in 2004 I really wanted to be liked!" "I based decisions based on morals, not on popularity." certainly there were decisions he made that I did not agree with. Plenty of them. And I've never liked him personally. until now- when he's not reading from a rehearsed (albeit poorly) script. He is extremely articulate and is providing well-thought responses to Larry's questions. Does not seem rehearsed at all to me. I really wish we had seen more /this/ man for the last 8 years.
Tonight I enjoyed a sponsored dinner at the Craft Bar with my boss, grand-boss and two co-workers. A few bottles of wine, a few beers (schneider aventinus), more wine, port, grappa, then whiskey, and I was having a good night. First time I've eaten cow tongue, oysters, and thymus, too!
