Orifice Explosion 2008. I started feeling teh blar yesterday, and being that I'll be out of town this coming week, I decided it'd be good just to go in, get maybe a z-pack or some such, and nip it in the butt. I was not expecting them to take it quite so literal.
Five hours of being in the doctor's office, and several pokes and proddings later, they don't believe I have influenza, but rather mononucleosis. And an ear infection. I also got nipped in the butt for the first time. Subcutaneous injections in my ass are not one of my favorite pastimes. I don't know what it was they pumped my derrèire full of, but it might as well have been epoxy cement with how dense it was.
I did get a nice ass massage from the hispanic nurse, so it wasn't a total loss...
I'm running a fever, my body aches, and all I want to do is sleep. Thankfully, I can most of this weekend, except during the Bar Mitzvah I'm shooting on Saturday. Must remember not to make out with the guests. Or let them make out with my left ear.
Leaving for Birmingham on Tuesday, and I'm keep my fingers crossed that I'm doing better.
In other news, I had time to play my flight simulators yesterday and did
FSX's Helicopter Oil Rig Rescue mission. This is not me flying, but rather someone who is extremely experienced. Helicopters are notoriously hard to control, and it took me at least twice as long to do the rescue (and my passengers would probably have just jumped out in terror). I love aviation...
