I was planning to order my computer today but I decided I'd reach out to you, brilliant Internets, and get any last minute feedback on the system specs.

Power supply - from what he's heard, the SeaSonic is amazing, but if you've been reading reviews about the other ones he said to go for it because he isn't as up to date on power supplies. The main reason he likes it is that it has the highest efficiency rating as any power supply - cooler electronic, lower electricity bills.

Video card - If you're going all out, really, go for the 8800, you'll be better off in the long run. He's getting a 8600 because he doesn't need so much. Also, ATI is coming out with something new in about 3-4 months which should kick ass, so like, if you have an old video card use that for a little while. Now that DX10 is out there's probably going to be all kinds of changes.

GT, GTS, GTX, etc, - basic difference is in clock speed and memory speed. You can overclock the lower end one to get it up to the rest, but Lucas loves reliability and would go for one that's built for it, but the cooling system is built well enough that it shouldn't matter all too much. If it's something just to get you buy, totally go for the lower models.
