it was a splendid performance that combined the grace and power of the Shaolin monks and 武术 with a "western" (I use this term loosely) choreography. The music was very well composed and the clever use of boxes / "coffins" to set up the various scenes made the show an enjoyable and magical one.
I am not quite sure how to describe the show really. parts of it felt dark and brooding while some parts were light and explosive. there was also a "zen" / "buddhist" undertone to it which was unique. anyways glad I managed to get to watch. and of course, I am held in awe by the agility of the monks. wondering when I am able to execute those movements seen. the "handless" cartwheels, high back flips, flying kicks etc.
damn! makes me want to spend a year at the temple just to train the body and the mind.
