Of Cats and Cavalry Officers

We can has kitten. You know this. Said kitten is curious and can jump significant heights now. Every barrier we had originally put up around the house has been breached by her ability to jump. Ho hum.

While I think of it, thanks to janewilliams20 for the link to LOLCODE. I LOLled quite a bit at that. I wonder how defined variables are cleared up after the code examples run. Is garbage collection reworked as "the humans will take out the litter tray"?

Anyway being a small kitten, Tansy lollops along with much spring in her step rather like our daughter, but notably still feline. I'd expect a cat to go down stairs with a sleek long stride. Not Tansy. She does a sideways hippity-hop of a jump (with a side order of 'sproing') down each step. tattercoats was reminded of Cavalry officers who have to do the same sort of thing on account of the spurs at the back of their shiny shoes. They'd fall over with a likely broken ankle if they didn't do the sideways thing. Tansy, we note, loves sitting on and setting P's rocking horse going. Maybe in a previous life, our small kitten was an officer on horseback. Who can say? As to why that image was fresh in tattercoats's mind, well, I'll save that for another batch of news, assuming she doesn;t get there first.
