So I went to the dentist today, it's fairly obvious for anyone who knows me that I hate the dentist, (my teeth are in awful condition) so I always find reasons to put off going (it's easier than you think) turns out this time I yet again need a bajillion cavities filled which I'm not surprised by really, but I also apparently need all of my widom teeth removed - I didn't even know I had wisdom teeth yet. But I am lucky because apparently with all the cavities and the teeth I should be in a whole heap of pain but I'm in none whatsoever, or maybe I've just been in pain so long that I don't notice it anymore SINCE I'M SO HARDCORE HAHA.
Anyhow back to the point of this post the reason I hate the dentist is not because of wussy crap like pain needles etc it's because all of my previous dentists decide that while their fingers are all in my mouth it would be an awsome time to lecture me. I realllly do not appriciate this, I am aware that my teeth are bad and pretty much all of it is self inflicted (drinking too much coke forgetting to brush not flossing and so forth) but I really don't care to hear about it when I'm in a position where I can't just tell them to be quiet because I don't particularily care. Which although it sounds irresponsible I just really don't, and this lack of care is then furthered by spite at the dentist who will continually lecture me (the same thing over and over again might I add). But today I got a new dentist (because I havn't been in so long apparently my old one left) and she was actually quite lovely and seemed content not to comment on anything except at the end where she told me I'd need xrays and the like, and should probably cut back on soft drink. So I've decided that this time I will attempt to cut back on the soft drink and so forth and try to keep my teeth good nick (try at least).
