1 Kitten Free to a Good Home!
Two of my coworkers found a stray kitten around their home in the last few days, and managed to get a hold of it and take it into Petco to be washed and looked at. Apparently she is a Maine Coon kitten between 6 and 8 months old, gray with gold eyes. Now that she's calmed a bit and isn't so scared, Juliana says she's a perfect little sweetheart. They've all been falling in love with her, but the problem is everyone in their house has cat allergies that range from mild to severe, as well as two dogs already.
Two of our other coworkers might want to take her as well, but they also already have two cats and need to check with their apartment manager to see if a third is allowed, and are in a financial pinch right now. Jen and Juliana (who found the kitten) are going to try to get her fixed and her first shots at least so she's more adoptable, and while she is free to a good home it would be nice if they could be given something in return for an attempt to get this done - "even if it's just a $10 gift card to cold stone".
I'd love to take her myself, she sounds so perfectly adorable, but seeing how happy and relaxed Audrey has been now that she's an only-cat, I don't think I could do that to her. She loves having a whole apartment and two people all to herself.
