The Game's Changes from Shibuya to Manhattan
We understand that some of you might be used to the rules from the Long Game that happened in the Shibuya sector. However, Manhattan's Game is not exactly like that, so please familiarize yourself with these differences.

If you are unclear about the Reapers' Game, read here. 1. No other soul is allowed to be an entry fee. We do not find this to be fair to the soul taken, who does not reap the benefits of Refinement through the Game. However, another soul's memories or material possessions can be a Player's fee, just not the other's soul itself.
2. A Mission Mail will be posted each day (sent by text or other means if the Player is unable to receive such) and a timer will be given on each Player's hand to mark how long until they are in danger of being Erased. However, after a pair of Players finishes the Mission, they will have the rest of the Day to prepare for the next Mission. We do not put our Players 'to Sleep' after a Mission. (However if a Player would like to Sleep, he or she may, although he or she does not need sleep, in Sleep the Player will turn ghostlike and float in the air until the next Day).
3. Players whose Partner gets Erased will have fifteen minutes (as apposed to seven) to find a new Partner before being Erased his or herself. This is because our range is larger and includes portions of the subway system. Making Pacts with one's own shadow is disapproved of, since Players are often too unRefined and weak to support being partially in multiple frequencies at once.
4. Entry Fees are taken at the beginning of the Game and not given back until the end--but only if the Player earned it back. If a Player completes at least one Mission during the Week, he or she is deemed worthy to gain their Entry Fees back. We have had too many Players who complete no Missions, but somehow survive until the end of the Week, and expect their Entry Fees back in full along with their Life. Merely surviving the Game earns a Player his or her Life, but does not earn them their Entry Fees.
5. All Players who survive the Game are given the choice of returning to Life or becoming a Reaper--unless the GameMaster (or Conductor, or Composer) chooses to limit one or the other. We have found that Players who at least survive the Game have a greater chance of living fulfilling lives afterward.
6. If returned to Life, the ex-Player will have no memories of the Game, and will be returned to whatever point of time is easiest for the Composer to install them back into. Some ex-Players report near-death experiences, others are reported to have 'died for a little while' before having their heart restarted. Other ex-Players are returned to the pivotal point of decision that led them to their death, and take the opposite road. If pressed for time and power, the Composer might just return the ex-Player to Life a week after their death and simply erase the memories of the ex-Player's death from the minds of his or her family, and let the minds create memories of what really happened from there. It is the choice of the Composer of which happens.
Enjoy your Game.
