ANNOUNCEMENT
✗ When the characters wake up on Wednesday, they will notice that Vatheon is preparing and has been decorated for the upcoming Halloween. Due to the destruction left by the Kraken which is still being repaired by the locals, the decorations are a little less extravagant than last year, but they do the trick none the less.
Jack-o-lanterns have been placed in many of the windows that line the streets. Cobwebs and fake spiders and bats decorate many a sight in Vatheon, and even the locals have taken to dressing up. The shops are suddenly loaded with Halloween costumes in every shape and size, but don't be fooled! There is nothing magical about these costumes. They are just costumes. A bit on the cheesy side even. The menus of the many restaurants and cafes in Vatheon suddenly seem loaded with pumpkin dishes (to go along with that Calamari sushi?) and for those that remember them, they are baaaaack. Who? Why, those little jellyfish that had floated around the city last year as well, each of them sporting a pair of bat wings.
✗ From Wednesday on, the locals will also start putting up posters for the big Halloween party they are throwing for the characters. It seems that after all that bad luck with the Kraken, they are really trying hard to make everybody comfortable again. Because the buildings in the bubble are still being repaired, they have chosen to hold the big Halloween party on the island, in the biggest empty warehouse. The warehouse has been cleaned from top to bottom, and decorated in a proper Halloween style.
The is to say, it looks like every cliche high school Halloween party as portrayed by nineties sitcoms. Down to the mist-machine. Enjoy!
✗ The party will be held on Monday and a log will be put up for it on that day. It will be open to all, free to mingle, and it is fine if your character does not dress up. The locals are honestly just trying to give them a good time. The party itself will be loaded with Halloween games, food and punch. And it seems there will be at least one spiked bowl of that. I guess there is always one of those pranksters around.
