[Anyone who comes across Demyx today will be greeted with a rather strange creature in his company. He doesn't seem too phased in the slightest save for the grin that nearly threatens to split his face in two as he kneels down on one knee to fuss with the creature's 'hat'.

He may or may not be sporting a bruise on the side of his face, but that's only because the poor thing was startled inside the stocking when Demyx peeked inside. Roundhouse kicks hurt.]

There, see? It's all better. Still, that was one heck of a greeting you gave me! No wonder why all the other girls back home used to listen to you with no questions asked.

Nah. I mean it in the sense that we're the same species, kinda. We're both incomplete beings.

Kin, you could say. Granted we're not related by blood or whatever, but we're the same species.

You're overestimating yourself. [He laughs softly, finally standing up and hefting the Dancer into his arms. It protests with a few squirms, but eventually resigns itself to its fate and sprawls across its master's shoulder.] Heartless aren't anything to shake a stick at when you've got something they want.

[If Silver was the type, he'd laugh at the picture you both present, Demyx. Instead, he'll raise raise an eyebrow.] Heartless?

They're usually creatures born from the darkness inside the hearts of regular people. S'not really anything to shrug off either cuz it's pretty easy for people to end up getting consumed by it which isn't really a good thing. Those Heartless end up acting on instinct and start looking for other hearts to consume, but sometimes you get what's called a Nobody from the body 'n soul it leaves behind.

[He pauses, glancing at the one in his grip.]

Nobodies like me 'n Terpsichore. The only reason why I look like a human is cuz my heart was strong enough, I guess.

.. The darkness inside a heart? [Silver looks doubtful, even as he touches where his own heart is, frowning more so at the explanation, and a quick flash back to something that was told to him awhile ago -- and then everything else that had happened here as well....

He frowns even more.] .. you means the desires that one has, right?

[Because that's the only thing that he can think of to be consumed by. The fact that it might be emotions is lost on him.]

I guess it depends on what kind of desires they are. Darkness can't exist without light and vice versa, but too much Darkness can end up backfiring. [He pauses to chew on his lip. He doesn't like thinking about it, let alone talking about it but...] One of the guys I was dating before, Isa? He was starting to fall to it.

[And then he shakes his head.]

But desires, man--I'm not even sure anymore. I think if you're some cracknut who wants to take over the world or something and hurt people it'd be kinda like falling to the darkness or if you're just a dick in general and you keep turning nastier 'n nastier. Either way, losing your heart? It's something even I wouldn't wish onto someone. Existing without emotions blows.
