Something was telling him it might be better not to approach this person, but as the man greeted him with a smile and turned out to be as kind as to offer him his own jacket, Ruca immediately dismissed all the wariness he felt at first.

And yet despite that, a worried frown could still be seen on his face.

"It's a different world...?"

The idea of there being more worlds than the one he knows was not foreign to him, but he had never heard about a place called "Vatheon" before. What if he wouldn't be able to go back home? The man did say he had been here for a few months now, didn’t he? Ruca sighed a little.

"... My name is Ruca Milda." He introduced himself eventually, his voice still sounding shy. "I'm... pleased to meet you, Mr. Orihara."

He hesitated a little before continuing:

"T-thank you for your jacket... but you really didn't have to..." He made an apologetic look. Izaya's jacket was probably wet by now, too.

"...Um." His gaze dropped to the ground." If it's okay to ask... Could you tell me how did I get here? I... don't seem to recall anything..."

"Un yeah. A world that collects from other worlds. Pretty selfish, huh?" he said, "You'll meet a lot of strange people from just as strange worlds. It can be really fun but a lot of people get upset because it's pretty unknown to if or when you'll ever go back home," he said. That part was usually the worst and most difficult for people to accept so Izaya figured it'd be best to put it on the table at once.

"Ruca Milda," Izaya echoed, burrowing the name into memory. This kid...He seemed like there was some potential for some fresh, invigorating fun.

"Ah yeah, no problem. It's been through worse," he said, waving off the appreciation. As long as he got it back, a little water wouldn't do anything to it.

"Eh? Yeah, you wouldn't. No one really ever does. I don't really like to use the word magic but that really is the only potential way, if you ask me. I used to study the whole theory of multi-verse, although honestly this doesn't really even make sense with that. That would suggest other selves, which there clearly are none yet here of us...But I shouldn't say that so quick. Who knows what the next curse will do.." he rambled, and for a moment it seemed as though he had forgotten Ruca was there.

When he did, he grinned pleasantly all over again and waved his hand. "But you don't really need to be nervous. The city's pretty safe. Everyone's a pretty good person. See over there? That's the welcoming committee's building. I don't know why I don't work there~. I like to think I'm really friendly, hn? Any-way~! They have pamphlets and things- oh! Do you know what cell phones are?"

"Being able to meet people form different worlds sounds fun, but... I can't stay here." he said, worry visible in his voice. What if he'll be stuck here for months? After such a long time, he might have no world to return to! "...Isn't there any way we could go back?"

He would do anything to go back! He had to go back before Mathias uses the Manifest...

"I... can't think of any kind of magic that could cause something like this, though." he pondered out loud. Ruca could use magic, but it was only the type that allowed him to cast fire spells and a few supporting ones. From his past life, he remembered even more types of magic the other gods could use, but a spell powerful enough, that would be able to pull people from all kinds of different worlds was hard for him to imagine.

But despite everything, he listened carefully to what the man was saying. When something picked his attention, he spoke up still a bit hesitantly.

"...Curse?" he asked. "What do you mean by that?"

He nodded a few more times at Izaya's words, but at the last question he shook his head.

"Cell... phones? No... I'm afraid I've never heard of them."
