Estelle's primary focus had been on where she was. This place ... it had almost reminded her of Zaude. But it wasn't. She knew it wasn't. The architecture wasn't the same. More than that, she was soaking wet, and it was rather cold; she had to find warmth. Warmth would be good. And perhaps someone who could tell her where she was. Yes, that was a good plan.

All thoughts of finding warmth, finding civilization, and finding where she was were instantly forgotten as she saw Zelos, and the condition he was in. Estelle gasped, instantly rushing over to him and kneeling next to him, eyes wide and all sorts of thoughts running through her head. Only one of those thoughts made it out of her, though:

"H-Here, I can heal you!" She breathed, then immediately clasped her hands together and bowed her head, murmuring the chant for a healing spell underneath her breath and hoping it was powerful enough to heal him completely.

Zelos' body relaxed a bit under the soothing aura of the healing spell. It didn't assuage the creeping feeling of the poison slowly making its way through his system but at least he wasn't bleeding everywhere anymore. Even so, his hunter green and white suit was completely ruined, blood and water seeping into the seams and discoloring the gold piping.

A glance up at his rescuer revealed a young woman. Ocean blue eyes, bubblegum pink hair, and the same worried expression he often had seen grace Colette's normally carefree face as Raine corrected some injury to the party.

He knew the type well. Innocent, but much smarter than she looks, even if that smarts is probably usually overwhelmed by a need to put herself in danger to help people, even people who didn't deserve it if her hurry to come to his aid was any indication. From the way she moved and was dressed, he could guess she came from money; he'd been around enough nobles to know one when he saw one, after all. He didn't recognize her, however, and he knew all of the nobles in ( ... )

Estelle had forgotten all about the state of her own clothing until he mentioned that she was going to catch a cold. She blinked a few times, then looked herself over, smiling sheepishly up at him as he helped her stand. She had never really been handled in such a manner, but she didn't really detect anything malicious from it ...

Oh, he needed more help? And with something she could actually help with! Estelle nodded in response to his question, then clasped her hands together and bowed her head once more to cast recover on him.

"There," she sighed as she finished. "That should take care of whatever ails you ..."

She then stepped away from him a little, inspecting her own clothes for a moment before looking back to him.

"I-I'm sorry, would I be prying too much if I asked what happened to cause you to be in such a state? Were you attacked by bandits? No, that can't be it, you don't look like you were exactly traveling ..." Estelle put a finger to her chin and looked him over. He looked like nobility, actually. Perhaps even ( ... )

He gave an exaggerated sigh of relief as he felt the effects of the poison lessen, then dissipate altogether.

"Nothing like that, hunny, I was just in the wrong place at the right time." He ran a hand through his hair, feeling the moisture through his glove, along with a fine grit of salt. Ocean water, huh. And from the smell of it, his cute little rescuer was covered in seawater too. Not a native either, then.

"You must have just arrived too, is that right? A good thing because if all the ladies here are as pretty as you, I might die!♥"

Yes, it was late in the evening, but that never stopped Selphie from doing whatever it was that she did in the late evening. This time, it was a bit of last minute Christmas shopping. Her arms are full of all sorts of bags from various places, and she's singing to herself quite happily - some kind of Christmas song she'd picked up somewhere.

Then she saw this guy she didn't recognise towards her left, and she lifted a hand to wave when she realised there was something stuck in his chest. Promptly, she dropped all her shopping and ran towards him as he pulled it out, "Hey, waa-ait!"

Liberated knife in hand, Zelos looked up to see who was hollering at him to wait. Wait to what? He had to get the knife out lest the poison spread faster than it took him to find a healer worth their salt. Assuming where ever he was even had healers.

Oh-ho, what's this? Average height, brunette, long legs, and judging by the way she'd scattered all her packages she was probably a bit of a ditz but likely lived here. He could work with this.

He put on his best smile, but took care to let it look a bit weak; he had a knife wound, she was running over to help (so he thought) so it wouldn't do to seem like he could handle it himself. "A beautiful girl come to help little ol' me? I'm such a lucky guy!~♥"

Selphie stopped just beside him, and looked more than a little confused at his reaction. Or maybe it was just because she was so used to the guys round here refusing her help, never mind paying her compliments. Still, she beamed at him and shook her head, "You're going crazy with the pain."

She frowned a little, serious now, her eyes scanning him over, "Do you help? If you hold still for a moment, I can heal you, if you like."

Oh good, so magic isn't taboo here. It wasn't really taboo anywhere outside of Meltokio, but unless it suited the king's purposes, like for the papal knights and other members of the church to do his bidding, magic was a clear sign that someone had Elven blood somewhere in their ancestry and while things were changing thanks to the efforts of his companions, it still wasn't changing fast enough.

"Go for it, my generous hunny~♥ I seem to have come down with a mild case of poisoning, to tell you the truth."

[Zelda seems somewhat worried. Was the coral just going about saving people's lives, now? Well, it was certainly preferable to it pulling people who had a great deal to do back home.]

Sir? Can you stand? Let's get you to a place you can be healed, alright?

[She moves over in case he can't stand on his own.]

[Of all the people to find him... A half elf. Or not, now that she's closer. There's a regal baring to her, and a knowing face that puts him in mind of Raine when she's lost in serious contemplation, right down to the businesslike demeanor.]

I think I can make it now that you're here, my Elven Beauty~♥

[He rises to his feet easily enough, only faltering on his balance once very briefly but steadies himself without help. Even so, a real healer, he thinks, would be helpful right now if the strange flopping around his insides were doing was any indication. Recover, sadly, is not in his repertoire. He offers Zelda a self depreciative smile.]

You said something about healing?

[He seemed completely out of it - or at least, she was going to go right ahead and pretend he wouldn't usually hit on her so blatantly.]

Yes. It's right this way.

[She moves close in case he does go toppling over, starting for the center of the plaza.]

[So she can't heal? Or won't, more likely. Elves are talented in magic, it's a fact. That's why he had to get those transfusions after all. Well, that's fine. At least she's taking him somewhere that would help. And she's walking quite close, even if she seemes mildly uncomfortable about it. Elven society is so repressed.]

[As they walk, Zelos valiantly ignoring the upset his insides are feeling, he takes in the scenery. Nowhere he knows, that's for certain. The plants don't look like anything he's ever seen and the architecture is foreign, not Sylvaranti or Derris Kharlan foreign but completely off the map. Is this the afterlife, then? If it is there's not much difference besides the scenery. He's actually a bit disappointed if it is. He was banking on there not being an afterlife at all, just... nothingness. Scary, but it's what most people deserve.]

[He snaps himself out of his reverie, needing to know for sure.]

So where is this, Hunny?

[ooc: won't be able to reply until later tomorrow/today, but Zelos! <3 /o/ This is so short ;;

As soon as Colette saw Zelos, she started running toward him and dropped everything she was holding, a blue fairy following her. He's soaked; he must have just arrived.] Zelos! Are you okay?

[Seeing wound the dagger had made in his side, her eyes widened and she frowned. That was a silly question...] Can you stand? I need to get you to the coral.

[ooc: no worries, hun! I know these things go at their own paces.]

[He blinked, surprised to see Colette here, of all people. So this is Sylvarant then? I'll ask later, I can't have her worrying. I know how she gets.. He put on a broad smile and pushed himself to his feet, ignoring the slight sinking feeling for the time being.] I'm alright, it's mostly just blood. I healed the wound so don't you fret, Colette-hunny♥ What's this about coral?

[She shakes her head and smiles.] I trust you Zelos, but I don't think I can stop worrying about you.

It's this way! [She starts walking toward Lamufao and turned back toward him to make sure he starts following her.] The coral can heal people, and someone told me that it revives people if they die. It'd be best if we went to the coral and make sure that you're completely healed! I'll explain on the way.

[Every time Colette, or anyone really, tells him they trust him and means it, he either wants to blubber like an infant or throw himself off a cliff. Sometimes both. He never does either, though, and this time is no different. Zelos falls in behind Colette at a comfortable distance, ready to snag her should she go tumbling as she's wont to do quite often in his experience.]

A healing plant, huh? Well I guess that's not all that odd. Still, I've never heard of it. Is that something that's always been in Sylvarant?

"Be careful, sir!" The yell had alerted Yukimura, who ran over to the downed man. "We must get you to a healer! Are you new? Did someone do this? Oh, I should not ask such questions yet -- come."

He promptly set about trying to help the red-headed man up.

"Woah woah woah there, man! Hands off the merchandise!"

Zelos batted the man in red away. He could get up himself, thanks. He didn't need some... (he took a glance at his would-be assailant) ...some two-bit fashionista Lloyd impersonator to get him to his feet and proved it by rising on his own, swallowing back a wave of queeziness steathily. No need to give this guy any reason to stick around after Zelos learned what he needed.

"Just point me in the healer's direction and I can get there fine, thanks."

"Ah -- oh, I apologize." Yukimura was baffled by the reaction, but took a step back. "I have been told there is a clinic not far from here, just down that road. Are you...sure you can make it?"

chosen_gigolo December 24 2011, 19:51:03 UTC
"I'm the great Zelos! Of course I can make it." Zelos declared caustically, straightening his sopping wet and bloodstained jacket.

He's just worried 'cause you're covered in blood! You don't have to be mean. His conscience sounded suspiciously like Lloyd these days.

"Sorry bud, just not used to getting grabbed suddenly like that. I'm fine, though. This is just blood, I healed the wound." Though the tarantella my heart's doing means I should really get to that healer anyway. Why do they always use poison? So lame.

"The clinic's this way?" He pointed, barely waiting for confirmation before starting down the road.
