[Well, hey, look who else is headed for shelter. Rue looks surprised to see him. She draws in closer, realizing that it's safe with his Shinx to fend off the tentacles.]
You're all right, then...
Wh-who is this?
[She's seen Pokemon before, but...]

*That is good, at least he know one of his friends is safe. Yashiro trots up to Rue curiously but doesn't approach more than 2 feet. It seems to be rather shy.*
Ah, this is Yashiro. He is my Shinx. I'm sure you have seen a Pokemon before in Vatheon yes?

[She reaches a hand forward timidly towards Yashiro...it's her way of trying to tell him that she means no harm, she supposes.]
You are heading to shelter, I imagine?

If you would not terribly mind the company. [Mytho told her to get to safety, after all.] Perhaps we can save the conversation until we get there.

*He nods at the last sentence and Yashiro starts leading the two to the direction of the Cavern. Everything seems well - until we get to the entrance itself. It's covered in tentacles that are trying to squeeze in somehow.*

[Rue has followed Japan and Yashiro easily enough, despite her poor stamina, and she notices the same scene when they get there. The tentacle is obviously trying to get in, but...why?
Is it really that craved for blood that all of those fighting it are not enough...? It must seek out those in shelter...?
No. It doesn't matter what it wants--]
M-more importantly, how will we get in?

*Which really is a bad idea - and fighting them was out of the question for Rue and Japan right now.*
I suppose the only way we can is - *he looks down at Yashiro, which nods back dutifully.* We'll have to distract it.

*Japan gives her hopefully reassuring glance. Shinx jumps in front of both of them.*
Yashiro, Charge. Then Spark.
*The Pokemon glows with blue electricity first before releasing a doubled dose of attack.*

[Okay. He says to believe in him, so she will. They don't really have many other options anyway, it seems, so Rue steps out of the way, upon hearing those commands. She gives a quiet sigh--
But nods.]

[She shields her eyes from the bright light, and watches as the Kraken tentacle is shocked, the smell emanating hardly pleasant. It collapses to the ground and out of their way, and for a moment--
She doesn't breathe, waiting to see if it will move again...]

*Japan knows Spark attack isn't powerful to permanently keep the tentacles away and despite being very, very rude, grabs a hold of Rue's wrist and runs into the entrance before the monster's limbs recovered. Shinx followed briskly.
Just as they entered, the tentacles followed but were stopped by the small frames again.*

So she stops resisting, and then before she knows it, they're inside, the sound of the crashing tentacle behind them startling her.
She turns around to stare anxiously for a moment, wondering if maybe it will break through. Though she's nervous, however, it also gives her a chance to catch her breath.]
...
It worked...

*At the praise, Shinx cries out cheerfully. It is then that Japan realizes that he is still holding Rue's wrist.
... Awkwardness ensues as he lets go quickly.*
I-I am sorry about that. I was in hurry at the time - I hope I didn't hurt you?

Rue hadn't entirely realized he was still holding onto her hand either. It's embarrassing that she's let her guard down so, but she's not about to make the mistake again.
She looks at her own hand after he's let go, for just a moment...before she lets out a sigh, and lets it fall to her side.]
No. I am fine...In truth, I probably should have acted more quickly, as you did.
