[Zelda is gliding along on her way to the plaza fountain when she spots him. A boy, garbed in only a t-shirt and jeans (which are soaking wet to boot), at a time when it's cold enough in the underwater city to snow.

This just won't do. He'll get sick! She follows after him, trying to wave him down.] Excuse me! Sir! Please, wait a moment!

[Danny honestly didn't feel the cold much anymore. Even when he was in human form. Sure, it was uncomfortable and he really wanted some dry clothes. but he didn't really feel any urgency about it. He pauses as he hear someone calling and looks around unti he sees her.]

Yes? What is it?

[In all honesty, the fact that he's not shivering just worries her more. It's the body's last ditch attempt to not freeze to death, after all.]

This might seem like a silly question, but aren't you cold in just that? I know of some shops nearby that have warmer clothes if you need them...

Um, yes? Cold, that's me.

I just got here. I haven't exactly had a chance to look around.

You're new? [a pause] Is it really that time of the month already?

[She'll shake her head.] Ah, nevermind. For now, let's work on getting you dried off! I can't bring you any towels like this [waving her transparent arms for effect], but I can direct you to a place nearby that has plenty.

Wait, this is a monthly thing? And why are your arms like that?

Yes, new arrivals always appear at the end of each month. Such is the schedule of the being that takes us from our homes and brings us here.

And, please don't be frightened, but... I'm translucent because I'm a ghost. [This isn't the first time she's had to explain it, but she always worries she'll scare someone off when she does.]

...Trust me, I am the last person who would ever be afraid of a ghost. [Danny is a little surprised his ghost sense hadn't detected her. But it is cold out. He'd been fooled by being in a cold room before.,/i>]

Really? [She looks excited for a moment, but then--] Oh, you're not some sort of... ghost exterminator, are you?

...You know, I've never met a ghost who didn't know who I was. Of course, mos of the ghosts I've met were either hunting me or causing trouble in my town.

Mmm, that's because we're not from the same world. This city brings in people from all kinds of different times and places.

The Ghost Zone. I've heard it's connected to every time and place.
