It was a lovely afternoon for a soak red head to be having a chat with a shop keeper. The woman had been kind enough to give her a towel and tell her about the coral deity that brought her to Vatheon. That was about

Even fewer of them attempted to speak to the fairies after the first day or so. That action decided it, and Kanaya moved over to question the girl.
"Have you just arrived here?"

Whoops. Staring. She gave a sheepish smile, knowing that was rude. "I'm Kairi. Are you from around here?"

But her internal thoughts digress. "I live closer to the edge of the bubble than the center. But I am not originally from this city, no. I was brought here unexpectedly, the same as you and a rather large number of other people."

I did, but I can't recall how I got here. I'm Kairi. [She looked over at the shopping bags.] Do you need any help with that?

Oh yea, sure if you don't mind. I'd normally have one of my team help me but none of them have hands. [..... Touko, this girl likely has no idea that you mean your pokemon team.] I'm Touko, too. What's your name?

It's nice to meet you, Touko. I'm Kairi.
[Kairi approached Touko to take half of the load.
Wait.]
We get teams here?

There's a face Demyx hasn't seen in awhile!
Well... Okay, maybe he's seen that face except the owner had black hair instead of red. What was her name, though? Think, think...]
You new, dude?

Kairi smiled.]
I am. My name is Kairi. Does this happen often?

[Wait.]
...D-Did you say Kairi?

[Color her curious. She tipped her head just slightly to the side.]
Is something wrong?

After he slipped up again.
Thus he waited until later on to approach, or do anything for that matter. Even then, he was hesitant. "...Kairi?"

No. Not goodbye. See you later.
And sure enough, she was seeing one of them later, but something was different. She smiled as turned to face him, clasping her hands behind her back.
“Riku.” She closed the space between them, if he would allow it. She allowed the concern to flitter across her expression as she looked him over. Kairi had confirmation that this was close to how they found him. She didn’t know how to ask.
It was still Riku, and she wouldn’t let him face this alone.
The issue was they had already got passed this.

He hasn't gotten close to that point yet, doesn't know a lot of what will eventually happen. What he does know, however, is that this place seems to enough bringing his friends from a future he doesn't know and is foreign to. It's taken all his willpower to keep himself rooted to this spot--to at least say hello and not turn tail and run from one of the two he missed the most.
Lowering the hood as she calls his name, Riku can't help but still feel worried. He'd allow her to get closer; it's Kairi, after all. He knows that scent--that light anywhere. Yet that pause... the concern and uncertainty is far too apparent, even to the one who was partially blinded by choice. Still, he isn't sure whether she'd remember... What should he say?
"Welcome to Vatheon." Start simple, at least. "Has anyone told you about this place, or-?"
Do you remember?

"You have that new look about you... Allow me to be of assistance. I'm Allen." He smiles, offering his right hand out for a handshake.

“I think fresh from the wash might fit better. I’m Kairi. It’s nice to meet you, Allen.” Her attention shifted to his golden…friend? “And who might this be?” The fairies are definitely neat, but the golem was cool looking.

"Has anyone explained this place to you, Miss Kairi?"
Reply
"Just bits and pieces. I heard they are working on an elevator and this place isn't always nice."
