Foolishness upon foolishness! Gamzee, for all his flaws --and there are many, seriously, we could list them all but it would be too time consuming-- does not actively break his promises. Accidentally perhaps, but he never sets out to do so. He had promised Equius he would be back home later to watch a movie with him, which means, by god, he will be back home later to watch a movie with him.

Or back home now, because later is now.

He toes his sneakers off by the door, his feet quiet at he pads towards the couch. He can be quiet, especially when tired and when there are no errant horns in his path to scare the pants off of him. Leaning against the couch, he pops his head over the back of it, giving Equius a tired but pleased to see him smile. "Hey."

That is one thing Equius did almost immediately upon moving in... clean up all the errant horns and confine them to one pile. It was just too traumatic to listen to their wheezing little death groans every time he stepped on one and crushed it.

Gamzee surprises him a bit when he pops up behind the couch, and Equius' eyes widen behind his shades. Then, unable to help himself, he reaches one arm up for his matesprit, stopping before he gets close enough to touch him but making his intentions very, very clear.

"You came home."

Gamzee reaches down immediately, meeting Equius' arm half way, resting his hand against his warm skin. At the statement, his brows rise, the confusion clear on his face. "Well, yeah. Up said I all would, you know?" The option of staying with Eridan hadn't really crossed his mind. Perhaps it would have, but not once he had promised Equius to be home. Promises were promises. Besides, it might have been the black quadrant that Gamzee didn't understand at all, but it was still a quadrant that Equius has lost. He needed the comfort as much as Eridan.

"I know, just..."

No, now is probably not the right time to get into his crippling self-doubt issues. Instead, Equius knocks Darkleer off his chest (Pounce has already politely gotten up and is now roosting on the arm of the couch) and sits up, inclining his head towards Gamzee's chest.

"I'm just... really glad you're home."
