02: Food is always a good start

So far, the weeks that Ember has been here, have been pretty uneventful...you know, except for those ugly fish montsters. Still, she figured she needed to get out more. And who better to hang with than her favorite

Better off with someone alive? It was debatable. Sex would be more comfortable, certainly, but a ghost would never age. He'd have a girl with a hot young teenage body while he grew old and gray. Plus, he couldn't think of a single person who was alive who didn't have all of the fancy powers that she did, except for maybe Raven. Still, there he was, wearing a buttoned blazer jacket and loose-fitting cargo jeans over the Red X suit, when Ember spoke. Turning his visible eye to the girl, his devilish grin spread across his face, as he took a piece of steak on his fork, wrapped one arm around his beautiful, dead friend-with-benefits, and held the piece of meat up to her mouth. "You tell me," he said, teasing her.

You know something was different when Ember put on a dress, sure it wasn't anything to fancy, just this old thing, but a dress is still a dress. She'll put her arm around him as well and return the smirk. "You're so cute when you try to act smooth." she teased him, though she still took the meat. Why waste good food?

"You should be grateful I agreed to wear a dress, and without hitting you in the face, either."

"Agreed? I told you to be naked and for the date to be in our bedroom," Red X mocked, withdrawing the fork from her mouth. He then took another bite of his own buffet-quality mashed potatoes. They had kissed before, so he wasn't worried one bit about sharing germs; the only thing slightly unsanitary was that her saliva tasted like ectoplasm, but like everything else, it was an acquired taste. And it was pretty harmless; it just sort of burned going down, like hard liquor, thanks to its acidity. Thankfully, Red X didn't get heartburn easily.

"And really, you shouldn't be thanking me for the chance to show off your legs. I can guarantee that every man in here has probably noticed."

"Keep telling yourself that. This was your idea, after all." she'll smile at him, not really a smirk, but an actual smile, but the showing off her legs comment will make her frown, but only slightly. "Which is why I don't like it. I'm on a date with you, not the other guys." she was loyal, if anything.

"Also, word of advice, you're much cuter when you're playing the comforting type, but you get what ya ask for...not that I can complain."

"Can you honestly blame me for wanting to offend everyone else in here?" Red X says in a faux-innocent tone, grinning ear to hear. "But okay. I'll be a good boy, if that's what you want." Taking a sip of his Coke - they didn't serve alcohol here, after all - he resumes his meal, removing his arm from her side. They had all night to cuddle after this.

"Not really, I offend most women by walking in a room, they wish they looked this good." isn't she humble? But she'll just smirk at him and remove her arm off of his shoulder. "Yeah, for now at least." she'll continue eating her meal too, like a good little rock star.

"And that's why I love you," the thief said, taking another bite of the steak. After chasing the steak down with more Coke, he noticed some of the people glancing at them, but it was to be expected. Kid like him, sitting with a beautiful, pale girl whose hair was on fire? It made for a great sitcom.

"Need anything else?" He'd ask when both of their plates were mostly clear. "I'm going back up. I want some of that lobster."

"Well, I'm sure it's one of the reasons you love me." she'll smirk. She saw those looks. She made a mental note to hypnotize them into doing some embarrassing things and video taping them. Always good for laughs, these locals.

"Yeah, but I'll get it. I've got two legs that aren't broken, don't worry about my plate."

"See, this is why I can't be nice to you, you abuse it." she teased, playfully punching him in the arm. She followed him up, looked around for anything that looked remotely decent, put it on her new plate, then sat back down. She rolled her eyes at the kiss, but put her arm around him and smirked.

Ember put her arm around Red, stroking his hair gently, looking thoughtfully at him. To be honest, Ember thought Red was interesting as well. Some reasons were the same, while others were different.He could keep her interested, instead of being boring. Not to mention, he seemed loyal.

"Oh? Well we'll see how it goes." she'll shrug. "Isn't that what you do to everyone we meet?

"Can you blame me? I couldn't ask or a better date," he responded, dragging his nail across her thigh lightly. "What about you? Find anyone who can keep the both of us entertained?"

She'll shrug. "Not yet. So far, I've met people I've liked. There's this one guy though, he might be good for a few laughs."

"Alright, get this. Guy's name is Hajime. Funny thing about him, he likes styling women's hair. Practically freaked when he saw my hair. So now he wants to try and style it. Best part is, he's kinda girly. Totally serious too."
