[Suddenly, birds.

Chocobos, as a matter of fact, and there are three of them curiously trying to get all up in Rider's business. Lea comes over quick enough to try and pull the inquisitive birds away.]

Sorry about them- I didn't think anyone else would be over on this part of the park.

[Rider can't help but blink in surprise as she's suddenly surrounded by the over-sized birds. Sitting up, she looks over her shoulder at them, only to notice the boy trying to pull them away.]

Ah, you do not have to apologize.

[She reaches out and pets the one closest to her.]

I have seen them at the little farm not too far from here, but I have never gotten a chance to ask anyone what they are.

[After a bit of fussing, Lea finally gets them to sit down. The largest, a red one that's almost full grown, gives a fond 'kweh' and nuzzles her shoulder.]

They're called Chocobo. We have them in my world, and apparently some other worlds have them too. They need a lot of exercise, so I was taking these three out from the pen before they went crazy.

[Rider gives a small smile and caresses the beak of the red chocobo.]

I see. It is good that you do not allow for them to be cooped up for too long.

[She hears the footsteps nearby and closes her book. Sitting up, she peers over her shoulder at them.]

Good evening.

[At the voice, Red stops walking (Pikachu reacting the same way) and turns his head to glance towards the source.

When he notices this pretty lady with a book, he smiles out to greet her in return.]

Oh. Good evening, miss.

Pii! Pikaa!

[Rider is about to go back to reading, only to pause when she notices the cute creature at Red's feet. Not that she'll ever admit it, but Rider really does have a soft spot for adorable creatures.]

[Tralalalala he's skipping, he's strutting, he's strolling, humming quietly some Vocaloid song and carrying a bag of something. Probably food. He's pretty cheerful today and minding his own business well enough.

But then oh. Look. Is that purple hair? He comes to a slow stop and tilts his body entirely to the side and glances at what she's doing. Reading! How fascinating.

Contemplation. To disturb, or not to disturb is the question...And the answer is obvious. He wanders over, keeping quiet before stepping in front of her.]

Yo. [Friendly hand gesture of a wave.] Don't mean to disturb or anything~. Just wondering what you're reading.

[Squat down, arms around knees and he's peering at you. Give him answers.]

[She glances back at him, already having heard his footsteps before he had begun to approach her.]

It is a play that goes by the name of 'Loveless'. A fellow foreigner recommended it to me a few days ago.

Oh, Loveless? [He rubs his chin thoughtfully. Nope. Doesn't sound familiar.] What's it about?

It is a book of poetry which depicts three friends journeying to find what is known as the 'Gift of the Goddess'.

[O halo thar; she'd had a feeling Rider would be someplace quiet. Seeing her with a book doesn't surprise Sakura in the least, and she pauses beside the woman with a small smile.]

Is it a good story?

[Rider looks over her shoulder at Sakura and nods, only slightly surprised to find her Master out and about.]

It is.

[She moves into an upright sitting position.]

Did you need my assistance with anything this evening, Sakura?

[wistfulsmile]

[A quick shake of her head.]

No, not at all. Everything's all right.

I see. How have you been faring lately?

[A faint smile. Truth be told, he hadn't anticipated running into her. Their meeting a couple weeks ago had gone well enough though - granted, all he'd done was walk her to a hair salon, but still - and he'd been thinking of asking her out, yet...still needed to gauge her feelings on the matter.]

[A glance back is all Rider needs to tell who is there. Plus the scent of stale cigarette smoke kind of gives it away. With a sigh, she sits up and turns to face him.]

[His hands are slung in his pockets as he remains where he is.]
