He opened the door, oh! That nice fellow from the grocery store!]
Oh, Minato! I wasn't expecting you! Come right in. [Jack opens the door the rest of the way and steps out of Minato's way.]

You mentioned coming to visit once, so I thought I would. It's good to see you again, Jack-san. I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

Not at all! [He knew what Minato was here for. Thank goodness.] So I suppose we should go into the living area? It's where I keep the piano.

Alright. I have to admit that I'm excited to hear you play.

It was Canon in D Major. If you didn't know, and Jack was doing an on the spot improvisation of the song. He'd been doing this recently- without even knowing it himself. It was just something to do when he had become bored.
It ends up sound a little something like this. Jack is damn proud over how this is turning out. He hopes Minato is enjoying the music as well.]

It doesn't matter how often he's heard music played live--there will always be an essence to it that his MP3 player can't capture, as much as he does love the device.
But he remains silent, listening to Jack play, the man's talent registering as well in his brain.]

A smile is present on his face each time he presses the pedal down to let the bass notes ring- which is often this time. Jack never liked to think he could "tickle the ivories", he just wanted to share this love for music he had with everyone. He loved it even more so than watch and music box crafting.]
[It takes Jack more than a few minutes (six to be exact) to finish the song. He opens his eyes again as the last few notes ring out. He exhales very softly, there was the delightful held breath.
Jack turns to face Minato.]
Shall I play anything else for you? I would be glad to, it's been a real pleasure already.

And then he breathes out as well, considering. He's very polite--the politeness is ingrained in him--but there's a certain excited spark hidden behind his quiet expression.]
...I would like that, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Jack was classically trained for eleven years, and eventually grew out of the countless lessons he had to endure. His passion was coming out right here. Every beat of this song was played ferociously, Jack had finally let loose. Minato was someone he had already in such a short amount of time become comfortable with.
The music this time turns out to sound like this.]

And it's beautiful.
And so he listens intently, eyes on the keys as Jack plays this time, the intensity of the song taking him off guard only for an instant. And then he is focused on the notes again, silent and motionless, but clearly listening with every fiber of his being.]

He's still smiling. Smiling so much. He's never been this elated in his life- really.]
I'm. . happy you came today Minato. Is there anything else I can do for you while you're here? [Suddenly an idea!]
Minato? Would you ever be interested in learning the piano? [Something he can do, for someone!]
Reply
It was thoroughly unexpected, and it takes Minato a moment to recover and find words for what to say. But to be honest...he wouldn't mind the opportunity to learn another instrument, especially with someone as talented as Jack for a teacher. And the chance to spend more time with the man as well...]
...Are you sure?

I can get you the books from the music store. We can set up times for you to have lessons. I think it could really work if you are willing to put forth the effort.
Can you read bass and treble clef? [If not, Jack will have to teach you that as well.]
Reply
In that case, I'd be happy to learn whatever you would be willing to teach me.
[But oh--!]
Yes, I can read music. I was in the music club back at my school.

[this is the smile of a very happy man.]

...I'm not busy, if it isn't too much trouble for you to start now.
