[All things considered, Kurt didn't remember much about the last few hours he'd been awake. He remembered...toast. Falling asleep under his Tiffany lamp. Missing his skin care regimen, like a fool. And beingsupremely embarrassed, both in front of his father and then later on in his room, staring down at some detailed anatomical drawings of--

Kurt's fist unclenched, a few waterlogged pieces of card stock coming apart as the pressure of his fingers lifted. It was then that everything came into focus. He jerked up, wincing at the crack rattling up his spine. His limbs felt heavy, both with aches and...water?]

Eugh! [Kurt sprang to his feet, looking himself up and down, glancing frantically around the square; far too fervently to actually process much. What Kurt did notice, in newly stark clarity, was that he was wet. Not just any sort of wet, either, like the dampness one experienced after running from your car to the front door of your house during a downpour. He could feel his hair plastered to his skull, clothing sticking uncomfortably to clammy skin. It was as if Kurt had been submerged. And as the strange shapes and hues around him finally linked up with names inside his head (Like coral. And ocean water.), so too did Kurt's dread mount.]

Ha. [Kurt laughed, hoarse and almost blank; he was still too shocked to process what was happening.] And I'm not even from Kansas...
