Blinking in slight disorientation, gasping faintly, vision unfocused, ears filled with air pressure--it took a minute or two to regain all his senses back. Looking down to the ground, he saw the droplets splashing quietly on the ground from his soaked physique, which caused him to pause on the next second. Since when was he soaked from head to toe? Sure, he recalled vividly being quite close to the shores not too long ago, but it would have been near impossible for him to fall into the waters from where he stood, right? Kaori lifted his vision from the ground and scanned his surrounding to find himself standing in the crevise between two building structures, with the addition of a small white creature hovering behind him. Though not much were visible, he was already stricken with the feeling of foreignness. The color of the hues around him, the temperature--they were diferent. He wasn't here a moment ago, clearly enough.

Amidst the confusiion, Kaori looked down towards the book--soaked book--in his hand. It distracted him for a moment, tempting him to lift it up so he could open it and check the contents. However, he held himself back from even lifting it for now, and turned lightly towards the exit of the alley. A jolt of pain halted him from taking his first step, and he held his free, cold and wet hand over his abdoment. Hurts. Could he have ripped the stitches of his wound by accident? The sharpness of the pain shortened his breaths and made him pant helplessly, but the young lad managed to numb himself from feeling it after he stood still for a few, long, minutes. He controlled his respiration again and released a sigh of readiness before he started walking, although with very faint and hardly noticable limping, moving towards the direction of brightness while unaware of the small, flying entity following behind him.

He remembered that a lot were in his mind: about where he was going, about what he had to say, about a parting that he felt would come too soon, about what he would decide to do after everything. He would brood about them, but not right now. At the moment, he needed to locate himself--all the more when he reached the end of the alley to catch the whole sight of the plaza and its majestic coral. If he were more expressive by freewill, the lad would probably show his flabbergasted emotion instead of his calm-yet-mesmerized gaze towards it. He knows too well, however, that it would feel way too tiring to be any more expressive with this soaked body and pain from his abdomen, not to mention confusion.

Hesitating and staying passive wouldn't do him any good, that he also knew. With this, he decided to try make his way to the open area, hoping to be able to find other forms of living he could interract with. Though no matter how composed he tried to keep himself, he couldn't help but muttered out as he walked, "Where exactly is this...?"
