[She stood near the opening of the area, watching the embers of the fire dance and twirl, before turning to Equius.]
I do not know how much help I may be, but I will do my best.
[Always the spacy/cryptic one, aren't we Rhi'a?]
((ooc: I hope that was okay. ;W;))

Choose your powders well and cast them into the flames. We'll see what the future holds.
[OOC: what would you like him to tell her?]

[Rhi'a looks at the powder curiously. She doubts this is a sham (she was a seer in her dimension, after all, though it seems her powers are limited) so she thought for a bit which one to take. Finally, she choose a little less than a handful of the middle powder.]
Yes, let us.
[She carefully throws said powder into the fire, waiting to see what will happen.]
((ooc: I hope what I described was alright.]

[Equius watches it all with a dispassionate expression.]
There are many paths your future could take, young one. The smoke curls in ways both elegant and ominous, as though the paths twist in on each other. You cannot have one without the other. The task will be determining which path to follow, and which denizens to trust who travel that path with you.
[Turning and looking at her expectantly now, the flames reflecting in his cracked shades. That was perfectly clear and concise, right?]

Him.
Well, more along the lines that she didn't say goodbye to him when her soulbot exploded. However, she knew that it would be okay to show up! Especially since she had a good feeling about this, and had a good idea where he was.
A faint maroon-red glow could be seen as she approached the clearing, before too long she stepped forward altogether. The fire was calm, warm... it reminded her of the Sun itself. She's not a bit nervous at all to see him again, in fact, she's entirely happy to see him again. ]
I wouldn't mind lending a hand where it's needed.
[[ooc: I do hope this is alright! .3.]]

But it isn't dark just yet, and hanging out with Equius is always cool, right? Yeah! Especially when Equius is doing who knows what kind of magic shit. He shuffled forward, not particularly caring to stay quiet, his head tilted curiously.]
Whatcha doing?
[ooc: You know what is coming up next week, right? Feel free to be cryptic about that.]

Highblood.
[Even in this strange, all-seeing mystic state, he still recognizes his friend, and is glad to see him. However, there is business to attend to, and with one hand, he gestures towards the fire and the small bags before it..]
Have you come to have me read your future? If this is the case, then please select some powder from the bags and toss it in the flames, that I may read the smoke.

[Gamzee eyes the different types of powder, before finally selecting a pinch of the shiniest, most glittery one. It barely matches up to his own stardust, but it'll have to do.
His face is curious as he tosses it into the flame, trying to adjust to the change in his friend and the whole situation, really. It is pretty exciting and wondrous.]

[Equius watches it, his face tightening, and when he starts speaking, his tone is solemn and sad.]
There are many paths for you, Highblood, and they all cross each other and mingle, making it difficult to pick out only one. But they all share a common crossroad... one of violence and anger, stained with blood, some deserving, some not.
[Equius pauses then, watching the remaining smoke more closely, and his voice carries a hint of relief when he speaks next.]
You should not be afraid, though, for you have a pair of guardians, two who will protect you and stand beside you, whatever may come.

I knew hangin' around with Gam would delude you in someway, but I newer thought you'd actually go to this sorta extreme. Go on, Eq, show me your fakey fake fortune tellin'.

[It's a credit to how serious Equius is taking this that he doesn't immediately burst into laughter. Taped on glasses? Really?]
[Instead, with only the slightest of smirks, he gestures to the bags before the fire.]
Choose your powder and cast it in to the fire, and we'll see what the future holds.

Oh, god this will be too good, ahahaha.
[Just gonna impulsively grab the powder on the left and cast it into the fire, watching it with staggering amusement. So Equius knew how to make fire change color by throwing powder into it, BIG WHOOP. This hardly was going to do anything at all, pffft silly, Eq.]

[The flames react immediately to the powder, glowing a bright, angry purple and expanding outward with a loud whoomp! sound. They start pouring a thick, black smoke that crackles with white lightning, the electricity leaping around inside the billowing smoke like a caged animal.]
[Then the smoke's form changes, becoming a shape that would be instantly recognizable to a human, but not to a troll.]
[That of a mushroom cloud.]
[Then the smoke is gone, the purple light fades from the flames, and it's just a campfire again, crackling and spitting sparks, like someone just tossed a handful of damp wood on it.]
[Equius doesn't say anything... just stares at the flames in disbelief.]

What is it that you are seeking to perceive through the positions of the stars...? If there are any familiar ones, so that we could locate this world?
[Kanaya is missing the point a bit. Please help.]
Reply
[Hey look, we're the same color!]
Being unable to see the stars, I can neither use their position nor their wisdom as this time. However, the smoke, while only a substitute, tells me what I need to know.
Are you interested in the future? Because that is what I'm trying to read.

That's right, Terezi was referencing that star-reading system which is used as a means of divining the future... even if we just used it as a descriptor of personalities and a way of claiming the others.
[Is Kanaya interested in knowing the future? How is that even a question? Of course she wants to know about it.]
Yes, I am. I take it you're in a clearing in that forest quadrant...? I'd like to meet you there, but I'll need a bit of direction to where you are, I think.
Reply
[And he gives her very precise directions. Just because he's currently a future-reading centaur doesn't mean he isn't really a robotics engineer at heart.]
I look forward to seeing you.
