Equius isn't the only one enjoying this curse.

There is a curly haired kid staring at him, and even though Equius has never seen Gamzee like this before --but, well, how has?-- he is still recognizable enough right? A mop of messy dark curls, more lankiness than one teen should be able to deal with and that familiar placid smile. Sure, his skin might not be grey anymore, and his clothes have been exchanged for a school uniform, but Gamzee is kind of unmistakable, no matter the species.

Especially when he opens his mouth. "You lookin' pretty fuckin' jazzed, bro."

Equius would recognize Gamzee no matter what form he was in.

"Highblood!" He comes cheerfully trotting over, positively exuding happiness and good cheer; it's pretty clear that he is loving being a centaur.. "Isn't this the most amazing curse?"

For once, Gamzee actually has to crane his head back a little to look up at Equius. Hey, add that horsey half and Equius is the taller of the two for this week. Folding his hands behind his head, he smiles up at him, not even bothering to hide his glee. "Shit, yeah. This place is real fuckin' generous with the miracles being. Haha, I all up and made me like Wataru and get this, the motherfucker all is lookin' like me right now. The old me, I mean."

Equius isn't exactly trying to hide his happiness either. Being like this has thrust him into his rarest of states: a genuine good mood, unfettered by self-hatred or angst about touching anything. He's doing the beaming-without-smiling thing again, although with the proper motivation, the Highblood probably could tease a real smile out of him this week. Hey, it just seems like a week for miracles.

"Wataru is a troll? How is he enjoying that so far? And how do you like being a human?"

"Hmm, he is. Motherfucker got the fins and everything. Says he is all having to get to used to not shredding the fuck outta his mouth." Hey, dealing with sudden fangs has to be kind of hard.

And if Gamzee only knew this week was perfect for coaxing a smile out of Equius. He probably wouldn't stop hanging out with him until he had managed. "It's real cool. Done got me feeling all sorts of chill." Because he might not have figured it out just yet, but not having that violence-inducing indigo blood? It's doing a real wonder to his mood swings. Sure, he's pan is still more cracked than a basket of broken eggs, but at least this week would probably not see Gamzee's rage surface. He's just feeling far too placid for that.

"Hmm, I imagine that dealing with fangs for the first time would be difficult." From his perspective, Equius is having a little trouble getting used to having flat omnivore teeth; his mouth just feels so... ordinary.

He tilts his head and examines the Highblood more closely. Not that the Highblood ever doesn't look chill--except when he's smashing the shit out of killbots, but Equius pushes that thought from his mind--but he looks exceptionally mellow today. He looks... comfortable, like for the first time he's wearing a persona that actually fits him.

"You look good as a human. It suits you."

"Haha, you think? I could all like get used to this." He reaches up, patting the curls at the top of his head flat for a moment. "Miss my motherfuckin' horns, yeah? But the rest of this is real fuckin' nice."

But that is enough about his new pinkie --or, not so pinkie-- human form. Lets examine you now, Equius. Gamzee tilts his head slightly as he glances over Equius new body, actually stepping to the side for a moment so he can take a peek at the rest of his horse self too. "man, done looks like the curse couldn't all fuckin' pick for you. You gotta be both a motherfuckin' human and a fuckin' hoofbeast."

Equius' human half isn't so pink either. See? They match!

"I know! Isn't it great?" Equius doesn't realize it, but his tail is flipping around happily, completely giving away exactly what he's feeling. Not that he's trying to hide anything right now, but that could become a problem in the future.

"I get to be two things I've always wanted!"

It's okay. Gamzee just thinks that tail is adorable. At Equius' words, he turns his attention back to him, tilting his head a bit. He's not all surprised by Equius wanting to be a horse because, well, he has met Equius. Even if he never did see the, uh, wondrous art on the walls of his hive back home. But there is that other part that is making his brows arch a little. "You wanted to be a human?"

Oh geesh, he actually said that out loud, didn't he? The filter on this body's mind is not as strong as the one he has when he's a troll. That's okay, though; this is the Highblood, he can be honest with him. This filter issue is duly noted for later encounters, though.

"No," he says quietly, "not specifically." Then he takes a couple steps closer, bends down, and wraps his arms around the Highblood in a hug. It's a stronger hug, definitely, but it's not going to cause any pain.

This is the other thing he's always wanted; to be able to touch others indiscriminately. In this body, he can do that.

Oh. Gamzee pushes up onto the tips of his toe, returning the hug. He squeezes him gleefully for a moment, before pulling back so he can smile brightly at him. "Shit, look at that. You done got all sorts of lucky."

Like you don't even know, Highblood. Like you don't even know.

"Yes," Equius agrees aloud, letting the Highblood go (with only the slightest trace of reluctance). This should feel awkward now, but somehow it doesn't. He looks down quizzically, and darned if his tail isn't flicking back and forth again, this time nervously.

"Would you like to hang out this afternoon? I mean, if you're not doing anything else..."

[magnetimous]

"Sure. I ain't not got no shit planned." Gamzee isn't the type to make plans, after all. But even if he was, what kinda plans would be as important as hanging out with a good friend? "You could show me like all the new stuff you can do like that!"

"And we can go see what everyone else in the bubble has turned into."

Equius considers for a moment, wondering if what he's about to suggest would be way too forward. Then he decides to throw caution to the wind and just suggest it already.

"Would... would you like a ride?"

Gamzee blinks at the sudden offer, his head cocking to the side. "On your back, you mean?"

Cue furious blushing and sudden retreat into stoicism.

"If you want to... I mean, it would be faster that way..."
