[Huh? A woman? God, this pisses her off. Rins' immediate reaction is to pick up the fishy phone and give this bitch a piece of her mind -- but, no. She needs information. That is the most important thing. She will repay them all later. She chokes down her bile and smiles sweetly into the phone.]

Oh? Are you in charge here? I'm afraid I've just arrived. A curfew? Is there something dangerous going on?

[Look how scared and innocent she looks.]

[A sweet smile in return.]

In a way, I am. In another, I am merely a servant of the Great Lamufao. I am the High Priestess Thalassino.

Welcome to our city, my dear. It is true that things have grown more dangerous as of late--it is a simple request, for the safety of all who live here.

The Great Lamufao? That's the coral, right?

Oh, wow, a High Priestess -- you must be very important!

Thank you very much! It's so nice of you to be so concerned for everyone. Is there anything in particular we should watch out for?

[Her stomach is burning now. Man, holding back is really the hardest part of her job. She's going to need a loooong bath after this.]

That is the vessel that houses our great protector, yes.

It is simply my duty to take care of those in the city. And while I cannot say with any certainty...I simply urge you to take care around the dark.

Vessel? Great protector? So there's a spirit of some sort in there?

[Pretend like you just had an idea.]

Oh! Is that who you're the High Priestess of?

[She shudders in what she hopes is a convincing manner.]

Are there monsters?

That is correct.

[She smiles, tilting her head, but then the smile fades.]

I...cannot say for sure. So long as you do not break the curfew, you should remain safe, I believe.

So -- is it like a god of some sort? A disembodied entity?

[She tries to look scared.]

But -- then they're not safe if they don't? Could someone get hurt? Are we okay if we stay inside? Whatever it is can't come in?

The Great Lamufao is our god.

[A pause, and then--]

You should be safe indoors. I cannot say what will happen if you go out in the dark, however.

How interesting! I love learning about religion. Do you have services? A holy book or scriptures? Any history?

You don't know? How do you know there will be trouble, then?

Little that you ought to concern yourself with now, though I would be happy to discuss such things with you another time. Far more important is that you keep yourself safe in this time of darkness.

It is clear the city is not as bright as it once was.

[Clearly she is not getting any more information out of the High Priestess of Vagueness right now. Time to cut her losses and not look suspicious.]

Of course! Anytime you're not busy! I'm really excited to learn!

I'll be careful, then. Thank you very much for warning us!
