[The bright blue light caught the Zorua's attention, watching as the wet and damped clothing soon began to dry.

Unable to hold back from talking-- hey Edward there's now a voice speaking in your head.]

[Oh, this was nothing new. Someone marveling over alchemy. Some called it miracles. Others called it blasphemy. Edward, who had his back turned at the time, shrugged.]

It's just alchemy. No big fancy tricks or...[He turns around with his eyes closed for a second, slowly opening them to see... no one... Except a weird fox thing.]

[He heard a voice. Surely he heard a voice. W-was that in his mind? Excuse him while he stares at this little animal. Confused. Almost expecting it to speak again.]

... I must have hit my head harder than I thought.

Never heard of alchemy before, I didn't know humans could learn abilities too.

[He responds, raising a paw to scratch idly at an ear before smirking up at him. It's always fun to see a confused person at him talking, he never gets tired of it!]

Hit your head so hard you're imagining voices? No that's just me talking!

[... Okay, now he knows he just heard this thing speak. The wild Alchemist is confused?]

...What the hell are you? [Direct, to the point? Yup. That'd be Ed.]

[A huff!] I guess N was right when he said most don't know. Anyways, I'm Zorua!

[A... weird thing with attitude. This couldn't be a chimera. And uhh.. In all his years of life, no little weird black fox looking thing that could talk--telepathically--had never crossed his path. Call him crazy for thinking this is a little weird.]

Zorua, then. I'm Edward. Edward Elric.

[Introductions made!] Nice to meet you Edward! You're new here, right?

Vatheon, huh? So that's the deal here, Zorua? This place just up and kidnap people?

.. Oh! and have you seen a guy in a big suit of armor walking around?

Basically, snatches you up from home and brings you here! Gives you a 'fairy' and a curse mark on your body too!

[A gesture to the floating fairy fluttering by each of them, and using a paw to move the fur gathered around his own neck to show the mark that had been hidden before. At the next question, he tilts his head in thought.]

..Big suit of armor? Nope, don't think so.

Fairy? [Seems like he didn't even notice the thing. Ed gives it a sour look and shoos it away--best he can at least. He then glanced himself over. Sure enough, right by his Auto-mail. There was that mark.]

So they kidnap us, give us a mark, and then what? We're not here for nothin'...

[It comes as a bit of a surprise actually, his brother not being there.] Really? Huh. Alright.

[trickfox]

[He sits down, raising a hind leg to scratch at himself.] I don't know much, I haven't been here long, I do know the marks have something to do with curses.

[He perks.] Someone else might have though. Are they your friend?

[scarredsin]

[Ed scratches behind his head.] Curses? Like... superstition? I can't say I really believe in that stuff.

[He grins.] My little brother.

[trickfox]

It's happened once, though it was actually really fun! Didn't seem like a bad curse at all.

[Family..? He knows how it might feel, finding family not here.] You should ask the Starfish! Maybe someone's seen him!

Hopefully they keep like that then...

[A head tilt.] Star...fish?
