Stares at his SFC, wanting to look behind him, but not sure if she actually had caught him--or if she was just saying that and it JUST so happened that she was calling him out on what he had just done on accident. He figures it probably wouldn't hurt to look over his should--Fuck.]

[He sighs, she spotted him and now what? Does he turn around and approach her? Does he just continue on? Could he really after he just told her he owed her? Fuck, fuck, fuck.]

[Oh dear, now he's staring at her. At least now she's certain it really was Eridan. But what to do with him now? A full tour was certain to be filled with his complaints, and she suspected that she didn't have the patience to deal with it politely.

[The thing is, she doesn't see Eridan as owing her anything, since to her knowledge the only debt he thinks he holds is that of the wand... and the wand was made as a joke. If he's willing to give her the tour to each of the hives, at least then she'll know where they are. It would probably be unpleasant living in close company with him, after all.

She'll rise and walk over to him quickly, so that he has less time to grow irritated with the situation.]

I did not realize that we were playing hide and go find, Eridan. But I do appreciate the offer to show me around.

[He doesn't reply to that, just allows her to approach him. He looks to her, his expression hard to read, but it's obvious there is a certain uncomfortableness to him as he shifts where he stands.]

[He gives her one last lingering stare, before he quickly turns to walk in some direction--most likely in the direction of some apartment building. He's definitely grumbling about this, when he had come out he hadn't expected to become Kanaya's tour guide, or really, to be within such close proximity with her at all. Especially considering Karkat probably wouldn't want this.]

[But it isn't like he's gonna exactly tell her he can't be near her, because then he'd have to explain why, so maybe his moirail could forgive him for this...]

[His behavior via text had been fairly typical of him, but his posture and expression now are very... strange. Kanaya is reminded of the fact that quite a few weeks have passed for at least some of the others. This might have changed from the claustrophobic fever of being in the game and then lab together.]

[Kanaya's voice should sound surprised and earnest. The reduction in open antagonism from him is throwing her off in this interaction. She follows after him, looking at their surroundings.]

[And Eridan would more than likely be up for antagonizing her like he did all the others, had there not been a certain series of events that happened that resulting in him murdering her and then Karkat making him realize the extent of it. He wasn't a monster, not completely--he felt remorse after all. And it was playing a good part in how he was acting right now.]

[It was odd, having to deal with Kanaya, knowing he was the one who took her life. Odd to see her, much like it was to see Fef, alive, talking, happy, just like before that argument went out of control. Just like before, like it had never fucking happened--and to Kanaya and Feferi, it hadn't, which was probably a blessing if Eridan ever did know one.]

[He stops to mentally count them, one finger going up for each counted silently in his head.]

[No more than any of the trolls were monsters. But then several of them were already killers. And they had the cultural construct of moirail in part to try preventing such things happening unnecessarily often.]

[Kanaya is capably translating that much, at least. But that's fine. She had already deliberately opted for only the miniature tour. Trying to find unfamiliar locations would require wandering as much as the full tour would have.]

It wasn't far really, so even if the walk may have fallen to silence, it wasn't terribly long enough to become too awkward. Even if Eridan was already feeling that much.]

Perhaps they remained nostalgic for the crowded cohabitation forced upon us in the veil. Certainly some of us would prefer to retain independent living quarters, but I am not surprised by Tavros or Nepeta wanting company.

[When their walk leads to the Larmline, Kanaya stares up at the six story building with some surprise]

Venturing inside, if neither of us knows the structure's interior, carries the risk of wandering into someone's hive... Perhaps it would be better if I seek to visit one of them in the near future, and observe the interior at that time.

[It's very tall, and rather sterile-looking. Whites and blacks and tall sleek lines. For the troll in the forge with banners of fabric everywhere, it's bland at the moment... but perhaps with some added soft colors? And how best to do so with the outside of the building?

Kanaya is going to contemplate potential decorative touches to the point of distraction.]

[He glances at her once in front of the building. It was impressive if in size alone, but as far as being something colorful--yeah it was far from such.]

She's going to be eying you after that remark, and seeing if your caliginous irritability is actually being returned... is actually great motivation for going into this apartment building. And she can make sure to be on hand to apologize to Sollux if this is one-sided after all.]

If you think checking into his apartment will cause no undue trouble, I like the idea. Let's avoid breaking his door however.

[Kanaya knows how to handle Eridan better than most people, she also probably knows he just blows a lot of hot air out of his blow hole and if left alone, he won't be as antagonizing as usual. Smart girl.]

Checking his apartment won't be a issue. Really, he can just deal with it.

[And with that he's heading into the building and making his way up those flights of stairs to his hateboyfran's place. He's just gonna kinda forcibly knock on the door obnoxiously loud.]

[It is after all one of the similarities between Eridan and Karkat; their lives just don't seem to be complete if they're not complaining about everyone else. Kanaya is pretty familiar with letting people run their mouths in order to feel content.

And of course the matter turns immediately to threats of property damage. Kanaya really hopes this caliginous relationship is consensual. She'll just be over here to the side, reminding herself to go along with it for now.]
