[It's not really surprising that he spends a decent amount of time in the library, is it? So much so that he can greet the librarian by name and offer her a nod as he walks in--
A thought. 'Aniki...?'
And then he looks at that stack of books. He himself was here to find out information about Norn--she hovers in his thoughts vaguely as he looks at the other, but he hasn't had much luck with finding any books on mythology. So he only carries one book, which hopefully will have some information. He doubts it though.
[There's a nod and Motochika closes the book that he was looking at before putting it on the stack. His thoughts are a jumble of diagrams and terminology.]
This whole place is somethin' else.
[FREE LITERATURE? not that he reads much on a regular basis BUT STILL]
[He considers that and reclines in his chair. His thoughts are filled with the technology on Fugaku- his fortress and culmination of his work with machinery.]
But how much is too far, kid?
Loses a lot if you leave it all up to yer equipment.
[And despite himself, flashes of faces of the people he could be visiting--and his Personas react to them with various intensity, and for a moment, his thought bubble is rather crowded.
Then he shakes that all away. You did that on purpose, aniki.]
I came to look something up. But of course I have time.
[Not that he'll deny running around doing things for people.]

Still, he's curious.]
Did you find anything interesting?

The library?
[...whoah he didn't even think about how things like libraries could be different. 'Things were so different--']

[A glance around the book and then there's loud laughter-]
These aren't exactly any maps for chartin', though.

I'm mostly sure that all ships have some sort of GPS system.
[His thoughts flash to that--electronic maps that tell you exactly where you are and where you're going.]
...Though I doubt maps for sailing would do much good underwater.
[They have to get above the sea first, right?]

Kid. You're startin' to make me think less of all your tech shit.
Whatever the hell that GPS is, seems like it'd put a few good folks out of a job.

I can't say if it's good or bad; it's just how it is. Technology will keep improving so long as people find use for it, I think.

There will always be good and bad.
[He pauses, reflecting on his mp3 player, of all things. People tuning out the world, versus his beloved music.
A considering pause.]
Then it's just up to us to make that distinction. After all, like you said, you can't improve on people.

[A rumble of a laugh and Motochika gets up, crossing his arms.]
All I meant was the adventure. If everything's calculated, the fun of surprise gets tossed out.

I don't think there will ever be a time when everything is calculated. People are too unpredictable, no matter how much technology can do.
[He prefers it that way, really. :|b It makes waking up each morning interesting and different.]

[A glance to the books he lined up and he shakes his head.]
Makes me wonder what I'm even wastin' my time on here-
But hey. What's up with you, kid? You even have the time to be readin' between runnin' around like a headless chicken doing chores for people?

I'm sure there's a lot I still need to know. But I came to look up--
[A flash again of Norn in his head, and those echoing words-- 'You can now create the goddess of fate--']
I came to see if they had any books on mythology.
[This used to be a rather common occurrence back home--he had a lot of mythology to research.]

He'll never get used to Minato's thought bubble when it's invaded by those random things.]
Any luck?
[Motochika can only think of Shinto gods. And even those are only pictures from scriptures and portraits he encountered during his piratey travels.]
