Characters: Snake and vatheon
Location: The plaza
Time: Afternoon
Style: Any!
Status: Open

Due in part to his own anti-social nature but mostly in part to the ever full job of being Ciel's footman, Snake may as well look like a newcomer right now- soaping wet and in a clear state of stunned confusion. And perhaps... the slightest bit of fear. It's not ( Read more... )

100% Necessary Hiatus Break For Snake dystopiadreams April 23 2011, 22:22:37 UTC
Selphie spies Snake from across the plaza, just a bag of hot cookies in one hand. She pauses as she holds one to her mouth as she sees him, green eyes opening wide in fright. What the...?

"Snake!" She actually drops the bag of cookies as she runs across the plaza towards him. Immediately, she makes herself a prop for him to lean on, holding an arm round his waist.

"Snake...what happened...?"

Hearing that familiar voice has him look up. It's not as quick as he'd like, but he's tired and scared. Before he knows it, however, Selphie's arm is around him and she's pressing close.

"I..." Despite being completely wet, his throat feels dry, and he can hardly speak. But maybe that's just the shock talking. "I...died."

Selphie gasped hard and threw herself at closer at him, arms winding round his neck and pulling him in a tight hug. Her voice was gentle as she whispered by his ear.

"What happened... who killed you... How...?"

There's no stiffness or hesitancy this time around. Snake clings back, still shaking and wet. "A monster." Without his snakes close-by, he needs the nearest source of comfort he can get. "This place... is horrible..."

It was when Wilde and Goethe showed up alone that Ciel had become concerned. Even moreso when the snakes refused to leave his side, and his footman seemed to disappear. He'd reasoned that Snake hadn't gone home... or those slithery friends of his would have followed.

Either way, his concern lessened considerably when every single one of the snakes perked up and looked towards the door all at once--an eerie sight to say the least.

"Oh, really now... Go on. Take me there." It seemed like complete clockwork, all the slithery buggers would be slithering off, and Ciel would follow. He hadn't expected to see his footman sopping wet--like a newcomer... "Snake...?" Well, scratch that melting concern. Came back like a sack of bricks.

With his connection, Snake can sense his friends coming before they even come into view. The relief makes him drop to his knees, welcoming each and every one of them until it's hard to see his own body amongst the twisting scales. A moment passes before his voice quietly speaks up.

"Earl... I... I'm sorry I never returned..."

Good Lord, all those snakes... Made it easy to identify the footman. Ciel waited a moment before speaking. "You sent your friends after to watch out for me, and they did their job. No need to apologize."

To be honest, he was more concerned about what actually happened that caused the man not to return... Didn't take him but a moment to grab a towel from one of the stands and hand it over to him.

"You... remember being here, right?"

It takes a bit of effort, both for Snake himself and in his talks with the others, but in the end, they slither off, curling around his feet with vice grips as he takes the towel with a murmured thanks.

"Yes... Vatheon. How long was I gone...?"
