[Oh, the forest dome. So many memories attached to it, but not a lot of them are pleasant. Meeting Riku in the forest is much like deja vu for Joshua.

He approaches the lake created by Riku last time he was here, and stays there to wait for Riku. The Composer knows the teen will find him if he's patient enough. And, really, he's got all the time and patience in the world.]

[And yet the only one Riku is even vaguely aware of is the one that Tsuzuki mentioned; the one the shinigami was aware of. ...Funny how over half his friends here are technically dead in one sense of the word or another.

He isn't too far from the lake, actually. Just resting against one of the trees that survived the blast. It was... odd, feeling his own darkness here as well.

At least he was able to spot that signature all the more.] Over here.

[Joshua waves at him before walking casually over.]

Hope you're ready for story time, Riku.

[He merely shrugs, standing up straight. The question was... where to begin?]

Right. ...There's a lot of background to cover, as well.

[The teen shrugs.]

That's only to be expected. Why don't you start at the beginning, or as far back as you feel I need to know?

[He nods.] Mm.

[He closes his eyes for a moment, thinking it over. If he was half the dork his friends were, he would have started out with "Once upon a time--"]

First, I take it you've met some of the members of the Organization that have been pulled here as well: Axel, Demyx, Larxene for starters. Well, there are thirteen including them, fourteen if you include Xion. One of their senior members- [And boy, he wasn't kidding about 'senior.' Stupid senile scientist...] -Vexen, was the group's scientist who began something known as the "Replica Project."

[He paused a moment, collecting his thoughts. This... was hard to admit.] It was during the time after I... "met" Ansem. I appeared in a place called Castle Oblivion when I had the fortune of meeting Vexen and a few other members, one of which arrived recently as well... He stole some of my battle data and created a fake-me from it.

[He listens carefully. A few questions are clamoring to the front.]

So, he's a replica. And this Organization?

[limitless_land]

[He nods.]

A group of thirteen Nobodies and one replication in my cluster of worlds whose purpose is to collect hearts to consummate the great heart. [He visibly stiffens at bit of info, too; obviously it is not a good thing...]

The only problem was they needed a Keyblade to do it. With Sora's Nobody and one other replica, they gained two.

What for? I've never come across a "Nobody" before. [Nothing even remotely close, truly.]

That's the question, isn't it. [He shrugs, leaning against the tree again as he pulls the information from his brain. He has to think about it, recall what he found out through his sources and his time in the shadows, watching their actions firsthand.]

The goal I've heard the most is 'to be whole again,' reunited with their lost hearts... but I doubt that's the case. Their leader is Ansem's Nobody, and if he's anything like the Heartless... it's more likely that he desires power.

[Bitter.] After all, what's more powerful in my world than Kingdom Hearts itself?

[And Joshua can connect the dots with what he's been told so far. Hmm....]

Who knows? I can think of more powerful individuals in my world, but I don't know what this Kingdom Hearts can do.

[Hooray for connecting the dots...]

For one, it-- [He paused, shaking his head as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Why was it so hard to admit what happened] ...finished off Ansem for Sora and restored my control over my own body again.

[That's more information than he got last time with Riku. Joshua mulls it over.]

So, Kingdom Hearts is pure light. Surely there's something of "pure darkness" to balance it out?

...The door to darkness, if anything. [It's said almost with an air of nostalgia, like he knows it all too well.]
