Xion wasn't sure she'd ever understand what caused that roiling pit in her gut, the one that seemed to come up whenever she was dreading something.

However, "dread" may have been the wrong word for what she "felt" about going to talk to Axel. She was...anxious, but she was also determined to know whatever it was he was hiding. Did he know why people forgot her? If he did, how long had it been since he'd found out? Who had told him? Why hadn't they come to her? She was filled with so many questions that her head felt like it was buzzing with her need to understand.

Still lost in thought, Xion reached the Vita Apartment building, walking inside and to the elevator, to get to the top floor. It was usually such a nice thing to go back to see Axel and Roxas at the apartment, but there was something gnawing at her that warned this wasn't going to be fun. Anything that had made Axel's expression that dark was bound to be bad news -- and this time, it seemed like that news was for her.

Xion was wringing her hands as she stepped off the elevator and into the hallway. The hall itself was deserted and almost eerily silent as she went to their apartment door, and let herself in. She toed off her shoes by the entryway, and stepped towards the main room. "Axel?" she called, forcing her hands to rest at her sides instead.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, she decided to herself. Maybe it just another side effect of Vatheon, and that was what had made people forget her.

If that was the case, it was one nasty side effect.

xion, axel
