He too knew it firsthand. Damn you, Xehanort. "...Raravis?" Ven actually chuckled at that. "You know... I forget if that means either 'rarity' or something to do with birds." ...Wait, Riku? Well, that explained a few things. Though whatever memory he had of the guy was...fuzzy to say the least. Thank you, week-long zombie mode. "Guess there really is a positive and negative side to everything."
Ven paused a moment in speech, having decided to show Rep around the rest of the plaza and middle district first since it was the place with the most of what would be needed within it. "Hm... Let's see... Well, the city is called Vatheon and it's separated into four different areas that's surrounded by these bubble domes you see up above our heads." He pointed up before continuing. "Other than the middle district, where we are now, there's the lower district--where most of the residences are--the forest quadrant and the ghost ship quadrant. Where you've been wandering for a while is called the plaza, which is in the middle district. All the newcomers first arrive there near that giant coral. ...And speaking of that coral, you might want to touch it once a month. Otherwise you start to feel rather lethargic. Kinda... found that one out the hard way."
He rubbed the back of his neck before continuing. "You can also tell us 'foreigners' apart from the others by two things: one, there's always a fairy or whatever these things are-" again, he motioned to the pale green one that seems to be hovering just over his head, "-and this really weird mark that appears on their bodies upon arrival. Mine's underneath my shoulder armor, or I'd show you as an example."
He paused for a moment, knowing that was a lot. "Any questions so far?"
Rep wasn't sure in what context Ven meant that remark; he looked a little intense as he tried to figure it out, but didn't say anything. He just listened to what Ven had to say - some of it was repeated information, but not much. Different things mattered more to different people, as Rep was discovering.
As Ven mentioned the fairies, Rep looked up and noticed his for the first time. It'd been practically invisible, he was so unfocused on his immediate area for the past hour. And he only spared a glance to it, then went right back to Ven.
It wasn't anything negative, just... something he thought one of his friends would do. And since this was a tour, of course he'd give more information on the city as well.
"...Didn't you notice? It glows." And here he showed he has at least a slight case of ADD. He chuckled a bit. "Actually, the locals refer to it as the Lamufao; I think its their god? Either way, it also powers the barrier and is like a recharge battery for us foreigners. And I don't suggest attacking it; the locals get pretty mad when you do."
"I won't have to unless it attacks me first," Rep answered and it wasn't obvious whether he was kidding or not. 'God' or not, he didn't plan to let anything walk all over him. "Then it won't matter how weakened I feel." After fighting with every ounce of your strength, you learned just how much you could accomplish even while utterly exhausted.
"And the marks?" He wasn't automatically assuming they were permanent or ugly or anything of consequence at all.

Unless it--
...Well, guess he's find out about the... yeah. Good luck with that, Rep. "...We'll see when you can't move at all." It was said as though it was more of a fact than a possibility, possibly from personal experience. "They don't come off." Might as well say it, before Rep tried to remove it, wherever it was.
"And... one more thing you should know. At least once a month, something a bit crazy happens."
Rep actually chuckled a little, both at Ven being unsure of his capabilities and the last remark. The mark still didn't bother him as much as it seemed to bother Ven - the body wasn't even his.
"You're going to have to be more specific about the crazy." Where he came from, 'crazy' was practically the norm, the way that the floors shifted and memories were tweaked.
"Uh, well..." He tried to think of a few events that he was here for. Let him think for a moment, Rep; it's a lot he's trying to pull out and some of them he's purposely blocked from his memory.
"One week some of the outsiders like us got... deaged. Then there was the thing with the ghost pirates-" and as he said that, one of them popped out and shook a fist at him before laughing and going back into the ship as they passed. ...Apparently that one was still sore about his Faith spell.
"The aging sounds a little weird, I admit, but..." It sounded like a much more drastic change to himself than to the world around him, which was the part that bothered him. "Ghost pirates sound familiar - they're a kind of Heartless I've fought before. How someone can domesticate them though..."
The Organization? Could they manage that, even here? If I'm here along with the real thing and Naminé - for whatever reason - then who knows about that group?
"Well, at any rate, they won't bother me; I can fend 'em off if they attack - even if they're near the sleeping quarters." Not that Rep actually knew where anyone lived around here, or ate, or anything else; it was just his typical bluffinf.
Ventus shrugged. He was kind of used to crazy like that, but hey. Ven laughed a bit, though. ...Heartless? "Um... kind of meant ghosts of actual pirates." He nodded toward the pirate ship, grinning a tad. Good times... Painful, but good times.
That comment made him laugh; sleeping quarters? "That's another thing about this place. Along with food and clothing, apartments and housing is also for free." In other words: calling you on that bluff there, Rep.
Rep just shrugged back at the first remark; sounded basically like the same thing to him. Just as hostile either way.
"So what it just appears out of nowhere? No one's that kind to a whole city full of people without a reason." Hear the disbelief in his voice? Might not be able to over the sarcasm. "Guess it doesn't matter where I end up, then."

"What's so special about some coral?"

Not like he tried it, but still!
