Wellll.... not everyone's happy with either option.
Daine's glad the destruction is over, but she's sad to see the magnificent beasts gone. But what's even worse is the sight and smell of meat as she walks through the plaza, fresh and strong and making her feel as though she's going to hurl on the sidewalk.
See, Daine's not a vegetarian-- she still eats chicken and fish. And she used to hunt even after learning to master her wild magic, too, just making sure she shut off all her senses and tracking like a normal human, because some of her best friends-- like the wolves-- are meat-eaters. But after a scrape with the palace hunters when she was stuck in deer form and wound up getting a barbed arrow in her shoulder-- well, since then, she's been a little turned off game meat. And seeing this much meat, knowing it's not just on sale here, especially after those gorgeous dinosaurs--
