Oh no. This boy had quite enough of these... large creatures running around. To hear there had been meet eaters added, well... that was the final straw. It was really lucky for him he decided on this manor, as it had a basement. A rather large one... with nearly everything he would have needed. Kitchen, bathroom, a couple spare bedrooms... just lovely.
But there needed to be more than sturdy walls to protect the lot of them. That's where Kanda came in. You didn't have to be a complete moron to know he knew what he was doing. Ciel would be relying on that. And whoever else he decided to bring... well... Fine. He had more than enough food and room.
So when he finally heard of their arrival, he quickly ushered them into the basement, shutting and chaining the door up as soon as it was closed. Ah, electricity really was a nice thing to have, wasn't it? And it would seem he had the place rather comfortably set up.
"Welcome to the Phantomhive Manor." A subtle smirk. "I apologize for the conditions... The upper rooms are much more comfortable, however... given the condition of the state of things, I believe we can hold out down here until the threat passes."
