Unlike any sane person, at the sound of the explosion, the Doctor immediately set off at a jog towards its source. Explosions always meant something dangerous was happening, and anywhere such exciting instances happened, the Doctor would not be far behind. As he approached, the Doctor took a look at the smoking apartment and grinned.

"Hullo! Anyone there?"

Sango heard the voice outside and opened it to see who it was, coughing a few times as more smoke poured out. She seemed a bit at a loss given how...cheery this guy looked despite the fact that she thought it was pretty obvious there was a problem.

"...Y-yes?"

Still grinning, he replied, "There's a lot of smoke coming out of the building. What seems to be the problem? Can I help somehow?"

She gave a small frown of uncertainty but finally replied. "We were just trying to use the devices in this place. They... won't work properly I think."

[timeystorm]

"Oh? What sort of devices? I may be able to take a look at them for you. I am quite handy with most types of technology."

The Doctor's grin broadens. He'd never pass up the chance to work with tech.

"Uhh..." She looks in the direction of the kitchen where the smoke was still billowing from. "The...things in there," she said a bit awkwardly. Learning their names would probably have been a good idea, wouldn't it?

The Doctor whipped on his "brainy-specs" and asked, "Would you mind if I came inside and took a look?"

Sango coughs a few times, only giving him another brief confused glance before looking at the smoldering ruins again. Beggars couldn't be choosers...

"G-go ahead," she replied, still coughing a bit.

[timeystorm]

The Doctor grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket and covered his nose and mouth with it to keep from inhaling the smoke. Then, he enters the house, intent on solving whatever the problem may be.

That certainly looked like a familiar defensive technique to her. She finally turns and heads back to the kitchen, trying to wave the smoke away from her face so she didn't choke on it too much. Finding her mask in this mess might be a good idea...

Running through the smoke, the Doctor soon found the source of the smoke. It was still much too smoky to see into the room, however. The Doctor threw open all the windows that had been shut, hoping to ventilate the apartment in a shorter amount of time.

She saw him open the windows and stayed in place, holding her hand over her mouth as the smoke cleared. Once she had a bit of a view she headed toward the remains. She cringed a little. Anything nearby appeared to have been affected by the blast.
