Gracia had definitely been here before, but Mitsuhide could already see that this Gracia was not quite the same as the one that had left over a week before. He stared for a moment, settling his thoughts and feelings.
He'd taken a trip out to Nostalgia Nook for the purpose of visiting the store that reminded him of home. There had been a blade there he'd been vaguely interested in, but it was forgotten now.
Vatheon truly was unpredictable.
There was no way to know where and when the young woman had come from, so Mitsuhide had no idea to approach the situation. All he could do was steady himself and go over. To help her, greet her, or provide whatever it was that she needed right now. So he did, hair loose about his shoulders and hand folded politely before him.
THEY SHOULD HAVE BOXES AROUND THE HOUSE FOR HER TO PLAY INkagayakashiMarch 24 2011, 08:43:25 UTC
The pang in her chest only increased at the sound of that voice. No matter how much time would pass, she would never forget it. How could she when hearing it brought back so many memories? It brought back to her so much warmth, and protection...
...But how was it possible? Despite being the only person in the world to have believed that Mitsuhide was still alive, she too had some doubts. It didn't help that her husband continually forced her to accept his death and defeat.
Slowly, Gracia faced him. As soon as his face -- the face that haunted her nightmares and filled her dreams -- was visible to her peripheral vision, Gracia's mind almost shut down on her.
He was alive!
She knew it.Her body jerked backwards in a mix of relief, shock, sadness, joy...Her hands gripped the sides of the box. She couldn't even get herself out at what she was seeing. The fact that before she arrived in this strange place she was already thinking about her father and what transpired in Yamazaki, only provided to make this situation difficult

DUDE. THEY SHOULD BUILD A BOX FORT.wavesoakedlegsMarch 24 2011, 08:50:47 UTC
That reaction... it gave Misuhide pause. He saw all of the emotions pass behind her eyes, saw the tears threatening to fall. They suggested certain things, but he would not assume. Not yet.
Smiling gently, Mitsuhide stepped closer to the box and his daughter.
"Yes." He nodded. "Welcome to Vatheon, my girl."
Mitsuhide slipped off the haori he was wearing. In place of a towel, it would have to do for the moment. He offered it to her with one hand.
"We should get you dried off at least a little, before anything else."

Gracia was still dumb-struck, still too conflicted. This wasn't, and it couldn't be real! And yet at the same time, she knew it was. The pain in her chest, it was increasing as he took one step closer to her.
Her father was alive. Oh, she prayed; don't let this be a dream. Don't make it go away.
Before Mitsuhide could even finish his sentence, Gracia already attacked, throwing herself forward with her arms quickly wrapping themselves to his waist. The haori was left forgotten, and so was everything else.
Her tears fell freely, and she lost most of her composure. Who cared? This moment...It was hers and hers alone. Even if Tadaoki came bursting in to wake her up from this happiness, she wouldn't even think about letting Mitsuhide go.
"Father...father! I never stopped believing in you, I knew you were alright! I always knew...oh, father! You're alive! You're really alive!" Her face was buried into the rest of his clothes, making her voice muffled. The way she cried was unlike any other, though. She kept telling him that she was

Well this wasn't quite an expected site. A box and out emerged someone who looked like a supposedly lost friend. Kenshin watched for a moment, turning the lid of the thermos over in his hand, before approaching.
Indeed XD It's her new favorite mode of transportation lolkagayakashiMarch 25 2011, 02:56:09 UTC
Gracia found the source of that new voice soon after she removed herself from the box. Green met with an entrancing blue, and while she was certain she's never met this man (woman?) before...
...She felt like she had.
"You know who I am." Gracia says this more as a statement, rather than a question. She smiles slightly. "Hello."
Like Snake with his box :3echigo_wargodMarch 25 2011, 05:37:23 UTC
"I do," Kenshin offered a soft smile and a polite bow. He wasn't quite sure if she remembered him, as she looked quite different. Perhaps she had returned home and time had passed for her, much as it had for Kagome.
"Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo."
It's Moe!Snake XDkagayakashiMarch 25 2011, 15:42:50 UTC
Gracia looked surprised. The name itself was familiar indeed -- back in her time, Uesugi Kenshin was a very prominent name -- but it was the face that came with the title.
It took her some time, but eventually, the redhead found herself saying just one thing in reply to his introduction;
[ Gracia blinks and searches her surroundings. Where'd that voice come from? Eventually, she settles her gaze on Obi on the roof. She squints. He seemed oddly familiar to her too.
How strange... ]
Why are sitting up there? [ She momentarily forgets to answer his greeting because lol seriously why is he on the roof. ]
You know me...[ She removes herself from the box and walks over to him. ]
And...I think I know you, too. But how...?
[ Gracia squints and examines him a lot more closely. A feeling of elation swept over her the more she was around this boy. As if being with him brought up good, happy memories. ]

Zen watches from where he's sitting on a roof, unsure whether to call out to her or not. He had no idea whether or not she remembers him, after all.
... Ah, well. Can't hurt, can it?]
Gracia?

Are you alright? I didn't mean to scare you. I was just getting out of here, that's all.
[ Her voice searched him, as did her eyes. His form, his hair, his eyes...Where has Gracia seen him before? ]
