[Ever since Touka had arrived back at Vatheon, Inuyasha had been mostly keeping to the rooftops of the Plaza in some half-hearted hope that more of his friends would start coming back as well.

Shockingly enough, they did. Sniffing the air, Inuyasha's ears perk up as Miroku's scent suddenly enters the city. Without any hesitation, he leaps down from the roof of the building and lands, then starts walking over to where his drenched friend is.

Is he happy that his friend is back? But of course! Is he going to show it? Not at all~]

Finally decided to come back, ya damned monk?

[Sorry, InuYasha. He would have sensed your aura sooner, but he was currently unable too. Also you may unfortunately realize that Miroku's scent was tainted with miasma.

This was also news to him. He was here before? Why did he not remember this?]

InuYasha. [You were here? Wherever here is.] What's going on?

What, you mean you don't remember? Figures...

[Blinking, Inuyasha leans in closer, sniffing Miroku once again. Upon smelling the overwhelming scent of miasma coming from him, Inuyasha's expression becomes more somber.]

So you still got the miasma in you...

So I've been here before? [That's all he got though.

He froze momentarily.]

Don't tell anyone.

Yeah, but it wasn't for very long. You left after only a few days.

[Inuyasha grumbles and scratches his head.]

Yeah yeah, I got it. Besides, you should be the one to tell 'em, not me.

Only a few days? I see. [No sense dwelling on it. Especially if he couldn't even remember.]

...I know... [Except he wont tell them.]

How long have you been here?

Not exactly sure. It feels like it's been almost a year, but I got sent back for three years during that.

That's a rather long time. Considering I only saw you hours before this.

Time works differently here. I can't really explain it, but it seems this place has the ability to bring people from different worlds and different time periods from the same world.

There's such power? [That was a little hard to believe but...]

What's the last thing you remember?

Last thing?

[He scratches his head, wondering if he should tell Miroku. Well, it's not like there's anything bad in his future, so it should be fine.]

We defeated Naraku, and three years after that Kagome returned from her time and we were all stayin' together in Kaede's village.

[That actually...that was fantastic it hear. Just to know.]

I suppose I can't complain in that case with that future.

Yeah, guess you really can't.

[He turns and starts walking off.]

C'mon. There's a place around here with dry clothes.

[Like a dog Miroku followed after InuYasha without a second thought.]

What are the things levitating around us? [He didn't notice them at first, but now that he had sometime to accept what has happened, the light had caught his attention.]

Apparently they're called fairies. They ain't really good for much except bein' annoying.

They seem to shed light. [In a dim setting no less. Could annoyance really be their only purpose, InuYasha?

It's not like it was Myoga or anything snatching up your blood.]
